Weekly Letter - 30 Dic 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
Happy New Year. I ́m so pumped for this new year. 2014 is going to be a happening year, I know it. This year the mission is going to bring many souls unto Christ. So far in Villa Ceferino things are looking good. Two of our investigatores are just about ready to be baptized and I
am so excited to them have this experience. We had ward council the other day for I think the first time since Ive been here in Villa and it was great. I could feel that people were excited and really wanted to help change the ward for the better. This ward is changing and it is going to help all of the families here. It ́s so great to see the power of the gospel work in a ward. Its like seeing the book of mormon/gospel change the life of an investigator. In my studies lately I ́ve learned more about the importance of suffering to receive blessings and the more we suffer
the better our relationship can be with our Heavenly Father. Elder Uceda and I are looking at all the blessings that are coming and we are happy. Today we have divisiones with two members and Elder Uceda will have his first chance to teach without me. We did a practice and he is going to do great. He is doing great with adjusting to mission life and finding the joy in the mission. He is also doing great with the 12 week program. We talked a lot about the book of mormon this week and the power it has. As for me, Im doing great. It was awesome to see and talk with my family. I am so grateful for my family and that we are sealed in the temple. That is our purpose as missionaries; to help famlies go to the temple to really have joy. Have a great week and happy new year again.

new year

Hola Familia mia,
Feliz año nuevo mis queridos! I am super pumped for this new year. 2013 came and left in a blink of an eye. We all get this fresh start in the year 2014 to become like our Savior Jesucristo. This past week i have had the oportunity to see many people gather together as a family to celebrate. One of the most important things in the world is our families. I know that we can really live with our families for eternity im pumped because of it. all of our families are going to receive many great things this new year. this past week i reading a lot of the book of mormon. somehting that i came across was Alma 57. in this chapter is about awesome. Heleman was talking about all of the problems that the people, and himself, were having. like all of the trial and tests. but in verse 37 he say NO IMPORTA!. which is like its not important in english. and after starts to say that they have faith in God and that everything is going to be ok. So, is doenst matter all the hard times that we may have had this past year, NO IMPORTA, we have faith that our Heavenly Father will bless us this new year. Lets come at this year like a spider monkey! i love being a missionary and i love serving my Heavenly Father so that all of the people in the world can know about the great plan that He has for us. I loved the chance I had to talk with you mom, dad, zach, jack, pops, and yaya. i miss and love you like santa loves christmas. thanks for being awesome! have a great week and know that im doing great.

Weekly Letter - 23 Dic 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
This week was a hot one. I think by the end of summer i will have lost about 10 kilos. But even with the heat the work of the Lord is going great! We had a great lession with two investigators that we have, sophia and agustina. We saw a miracle with agustina because in the lession she felt the spirit. When she felt the spirit she she it was like nothing that she has ever felt before and it was something she couldnt explain. I was so happy! We are seeing so many great things here. Elder Uceda and I are doing good. We need to do some more work with the Plan de Salvacion but so far it is good. We had the opportunity to have a fast this week because we both decidied that we needed more help from Heavenly Father with our investigatores. That set the foundation for miracles this week. Im doing good. Im still trying to show Elder Uceda how fun the mission is and he ́s getting there. He is going to be a great leader for the mission one day. But, Im loving every day and every trial that comes my way. The mission is a story, the trials there are in the story, the better the story. Thank you for everything. Feliz Navidad!!

Weekly Letter - 16 Dic 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
It is almost christmas and I ́m pumped up for the miracles that are happening and going to happen. I love it! This past week had some great lessons. We are teaching a lot of part member families that are preparing to return to the church so there kids can be baptized. One of the stories this week that really was great was our lesson with hna Janet. When we passed by she told us that she feels that now is the moment to return to the church and she was really happy. This is a miracle because about 6 months ago she didnt want anything to so with the church. It is so great to see how the Lord prepares His children. All we need to do is be in the right place and the right time. The church is true! We also had the opportunity to talk with her boyfriend who isnt a member and he had the lessons in the past and was really nice but still not a member. Elder Uceda and I have been working on the plan of salvation this week and still have more to cover but its going good. Sometimes he feels timid to talk but he is getting more used to being himself in the lessons. As for me, Im doing good. This morning I studied diligence....so Im pretty pumped up right now. Not going to lie, training another missionary is teaching me a lot of stuff. At times it can be rough but I love it because I know Heavenly Father has a plan and this is part of it. Have great week. Thanks for everything.

navidad...una semana mas!

hola familia!
Right now im in the computer place to right and there is some funny latin music playing. just thought id let yall know whats going on here argentina:) just wanted remind yall that it is hotter than an oven here....not the christmas im used to but its all good. this time of year everyone is using fireworks and the other day a car drove by and threw a firework at my comp and i. it was pretty funny. this week was really good. i love this time of year because it is a good time to remember all of our blessing and family. right now we are teaching a bunch of part member families that are less active. one of the families the mom told us that she feels that now is the time to return back to the church. which is crazy because 6 months ago she didnt want anything to do with the missionaries. Heavenly Father is helping us big time right now. In church i had the chance to give a talk about the sacerdocio, sorry i cant remember what its called in english. nope its priesthood...i got it:) It was good. I talked about the 3 things that we need to have to use the priesthood more affectively in our lives. Those three things are 1. Rectitude (like do good things. sorry the words arent coming to my head inenglish. like be worthy) 2. Love and 3. Patience. With those three things we can utilize the priesthood more affectivley in our lives and members of the church. with those three things we can see more miracles in our lives. the other day my comp asked me a question. he asked me if we can change in the mission, like change our lives. he told me that a missionary in his home ward told him that the mission is to learn not to change. i told him that is a bunch of bull-o-nee! the purpose of the mission is to change our lives. Its the same and our life in the world. Our purpose in this life is to come here and learn but to also change our lives to become more like Christ. I am so thankful that we have received the opportunity to always progress and change our lives. Im learning a lot of things right now especially as a trainor. I wish i could share every little detail with yall but i cant. I know the  church is true and that revelation exsists. I have a testimony of the gift of tongues and i have a testimony of the Holy Spirit. Have a great week. I love yall! I hope you enjoy the pics. one is of my zone in the church, the second is my zone at subway (that right....there is subway!!!!) and me and an elder from arizona. i think a member put a video of my zone singing inthe city on my facebook. i dont know but it was on the news or something. Love you all.

Weekly Letter - 09 Dic 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
We just got done singing christmas hymns for the people at that one office place. It was great. Hopefully the people there were able to feel the spirit. This past week was good but it was
hard to get a lot of stuff done with not being able to leave the house. But if anything, if helped me get pumped up for this week that is coming. We have a few people that are part of less active families that are preparing to be baptized. One hno has attented church every week for over a month so that his son can be baptized. The only problem is that his son needs to attend aswell. We are really seeing miracles here. I am really grateful to have the gospel in my life. Elder Uceda and I are doing good. He is getting more used to the mission life and teaching.. I really want him to love the mission. We are making good progress with the 12 week program and do a practica at least once a day. He is a fast learner and can memorize a scripture verse in like 1 min. I ́m doing pretty good. I ́m trying to find the people here that are waiting for me. Im really trying to change my life in the mission. We are seeing and going to see more miracles here in the mission. Thanks for everything and have a great week.

IT'S ALMOST CHRISTMAS

Dear family,
ES CASI NAVIDAD. thats what im talkin about. candy, candy cane, and syrup! So this week was pretty good. Here in Neuquen its about 90-100 degrees but thats all good jaja. it honestly doesnt feel that bad. Heavenly father really does bless his missionaries because im in the street everyday and the heat is bad but its not killing me. also, on the brighter side, im getting a lot more tan...which is always nice. this week we had a lesson with a less active family whose kids are preparing to be baptized. when we passed by the mom wasnt there only the grandma  who isnt a member, and she told us we couldnt pass by because she has company. we were able to enter the house about 15 min later when the rest of the family came home. when we walked in there was no one with the grandma and when she saw us her head and eyes went straight to the floor. it was one of the funniest things ever. i made a little joke with her there about how much she wants to talk to us. i wanted to laugh so hard but i didnt....but i smiled :). today i had the opportunity to sing with my zone christmas hymns for people in the street and it was really nice. in one of the songs i couldnt help but think of all the people that were hearing us sing and how they dont have the gospel. it was sad to think that so many of them are going through so many problems but dont know how to receive help from our Heavenly Father in their lives. I thought how lucky I am to know what I know and have what i have. we all have so many things that we can be grateful for in our lives. this is the time of the year where we can look and see all the blessings we have and share those with others. it doesnt matter where we are in the world or what the weather is like ( rain or shine, or heat sufficient enough to fry on egg my scripture bag) we can all share the joy we have. The scriptures are true. the book of mormon is true and book from our Heavenly Father. love you all. if your looking for something or have a question, turn to the scriptures.

Weekly Letter - 03 Dic 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
This past week was good. Something really cool that is happening in our area is there is more excitement about the misisonary work from a few of the members because they want a temple in Neuquen. We are teaching a family that was less active that has two girls that are going to be baptzed named agustina and sophia. They have come to church fro about two weeks and Im pretty darn excited for them. The mom, hna cayuman, has been inactive for about 10 years!!!! She was a reference from a member and when we past by to talk to her she told us that she had been thingking about returning to the church. Elder Uceda and I are doing good. Still trying to get used to his accent. Sometimes its really hard to understand what he is saying but it will only make my spanish better. This week we worked a lot on Leccion 1 and he is doing really good. He is getting more and more comfortable with the lesson, which is great. As for me, Im good. Im working and waiting for more miracles. Im trying to become the 4th missinary. Thank you so much for everything and the words of wisdom you gave me in the interveiw. Also, please thank Hna Lovell for me, she ́s awesome! Thank you both for the spirit that you bring to the mission. Hurrah For Israel!

Happy Late Thanksgiving

Hey Family,

happy late thanksgiving. i honestly forget that last week was thanksgiving. after i had sent yall the email for the week was when i realized haha. my thanksgiving was awesome...i preached the gospel! XD Below are some photos of my last comp and i dressed up in harry potter stuff at a house of a member. the other is of a crazy cat. this week was pretty awesome because we had interveiws with our pres of the misison and his wife. they are awesome and have such a strong spirit with them at all times. that is what i want to have. I was able to see a lot of miracles this past week. right now we are teaching a less active and part miember family. The mom has been less active for 10 years and we have helped her to go to church so that her daughters can be baptized. we had a family home evening with them and i cooked pancakes....they were gooood. darn straight!...im part chef and missionary now. we are seeing miracles in the ward im in. more and more people are starting to attend which is great. The goal is to one day have a temple here in Neuquen so we need to work hard so that we can accomplish that. something really special that I was thinking about the other day was alma and all he wanted to do was be an angel so that he could chare this message with all the people in the world. It just shows how important all of this is. I have learned so much about my Heavenly Father and testify that He lives and does love us. I know that my Savior lives. And I know that this is the time to prepare to know them. I am so grateful for this work. lets keep this missionary work going forever with a MIRA PUESTA ÚNICAMENTE EN LA GLORIA DE DIOS. ohhhh i love spanish:) Love you all.

Weekly Letter - 25 Nov 2013

Dear Presidente lovell,
This week was a little crazy. I lost 2 days of work in my area looking for my new companion wed and thur and felt out of the loop in my area after. This week really need to hit it hard. The area is full of people waiting to receive the gospel. We are trying to get more people involved in the obra missional here. It was perfect in church this past sunday we talked about the goal to one day have the temple here in neuquen. I know that it is possible to doble the asistence of the people in the ward and that is what i want. I want the peple here to feel the amor that have have felt in my life from the spirit. Elder Uceda and I are doing good. We dont have a lot of time together but we both want to see baptisisms here. He has a lot of questions which makes me think of my first couple months in the mission and all the questions i had. I really dont want to be a bad trainer. I want to teach him the things of the mission and help him have a vision really high to baptize in this mission. In my studies i read alma 27. At the very end of that chapter it said that the people were favored of the Lord. A little before that it said they were always faithful adn righteous. Thats what I need to do to be favored of the Lord and have His trust. That is my goal. Thank you for everything. Have a great week.

prayer

Querido Familia,

hey yall! hope this week was great. the other day i was doing my studies and i came across something that was really cool. in alma 27 it is a great story but some things that really stuck out was that ammon needed to make so big choices. so in verse 7 and 11 he prayed so that he could know what he needed to do. in verse 13 was the action. he shared what he had received from heavenly father. but what i really love is verse 30 says that the people were favored of the Lord. how do we become foavored of the Lord? the answer is verse 27. it says that the people were faithful unto the end and alwasy did good works. so basically, if we want more blessings, stronger relations, or to be favored of the lord we need to be faithful. faithful does not mean we need to be perfect but it means we keep on keepin on. also, there is a family that we are teaching that is really great. the wife wants to be baptized but the husband doesnt want to talk to us. we invited the sister to pray with her husband to help him soften his heart. so she did it and she a has seen a big change in him. he has startd to pray with his kids and said that one day he will attend church...which is a big change. all of that came from prayer. i have a testimony of pray and am so greatful for it. it truelly is so powerful. Oh before i forget, i had a package from the fam and grandpa paul.THYE WERE FILLED WITH PEANUTT BUTTER GOODIES. I AM SO EXCITED :) :) :) i love yall so much and am so happy. no importa if im gonna get fat...it is well worth it haha. only jokes. the shirt of dads band is super cool. yall should do a green version like dads website. like my friend elder ethan christiansen always says, if you have a bad week or need help, pray! I love you all and would love to send some pics but this computer is filled with viruses and dont want to destroy my stuff.

Weekly Letter - 18 Nov 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
This past week went pretty well. Not going to lie I felt like I lost focuse because of the transfers but we were able to complete some good things. Villa Ceferino is good. We are teaching a lot of people but the problem is that not all of them are excepting fechas to be baptized. I have faith that all these people can progress and be baptized but I think we need to have a talk with a few of them to state our purpose and where we see things going so that we can be on the same page. I think one of my fears is that we will let someone go in a moment when we
should have had more patience. It ́s like Elder Holland said, these our our brothers and sisters we are teaching. I dont want to give up on people when maybe all they need is a little more support. I dont know how to explain it but Im trying to learn how to have a perfect balance in things that I do...not going to lie, its hard. But, life was never ment to be easy. I have goals for the transfer to make myself better. I want to become more like Jesucristo. That is happiness, to be close to my Savior at all times and stand up for His Church. This week I want to invite Blanca and Angelica to be baptized. We have taught them for over a month and each at one point had fechas. To do this affectivley I need to prepare spiritually so they can feel the spirit. Elder Ashworth, Puente and I are doing good. Elder Ashworth leaves today which is sad but I think he ́ll do great things. I dont know what will happen with Elder Puente but if its the Lords will that he stays here, I know we will do some big things! D & C 6: 33-37. We dont need to fear to do great things in the gran mission Neuquen. Thank you so much for everything. Have a great week filled with miracles.

Que tal

Hola querido familia,
things down here in the land of argentina is good. I am well fed and living the life. This past week was good. I dont recall if i mentoned that im in a trio for the past couple weeks but it was fun. we got our transfers and my comps are leaving and im going to receive another comp and train again which is pretty cool. sunday one of our investigators came to church, which was literally awesomer than seeing the three nefites...almost. her name is blanca. she cried because elder ashworth, my comp, is leaving. when we talked with her later i could see something different in her eyes and her face. she looked so much happier. i knew that she had felt the spirit! oh how amazing it was to see her face after church. im not lying, it was like a different person. that is just one of the miracles that we can see from the gospel. I dont remember if i said something about hna aguero. she was the lady that after reading only one paragragh in the libro de mormon becgan to cry and she knew that this was true. It is a little hard to teach her because her husband doesnt want to listen to us and we jsut found out that he is jealous of us. its sad because in everyone of her prayers she prays that her husband can except this message so that he can feel the peace also. Sometimes it is so easy to take for granted that we really do have a gift from our heavenly father, that being the gift of the holy ghost. there are so many people that want that gift but because of there circumstances cant receive it. this week try to recognize at least one time the influence of the spirit in your lives. I know the spirit is real and has gran amor for all of us. He istrying to help us on the path to happines and perfection. I am so gratefull for the knowledge i have and for my family and friends. I love you all and hope that you all can have a great week.

I dont know how to explain it but i just love the mission so much. everyday is an adventure. I love the study time i have in the morning to read the book of mormon and other things. Mom, do your remember how i want much of a reader...that has changed a lot because i love to read now. something really sad that hapeened this week was that we had a lession with a family and invited one of the daughters to give a prayer and she was giving such a great prayer but mid way through her mom and sister started to laugh at her. she left and started to cry. it was horrible to see. but, i was able to think about how greatful i am to have had a family that has always given me support in all the things i do. we have one lady who was going to be batized but doesnt want to give up smoking. but still isnt going to be baptised yet but we havent given up on her. One day she thanked us for thinking about her and not giving up on her. when she said that i was like WOW. The work is the lords work. these people really do need this gospel. maybe they will accept it  now or in the life after (thanks g annie). i know this church is the church of Heavenly Father.
Have a great week all of you.

Weekly Letter - 11 Nov 2013

Dear Pres. Lovell,
Happy Monday! Feels like the weeks are just flying by. This past week we got a new missionary in our companionship, Elder Puente. He is a great addition to the work here in good ol villa. He is a hard worker and Im learning a lot of great things. It is a little different now that we have three elderes but its fun. We are trying to work on teaching with more fluidity so that all of us can talk equaly. Also, to give Elder Ashworth lots of opportunities to improve his castellano. This past week was filled with miracles. Wednesday our lunch was posponed for about an hour so we went to go look for some more people and we found a great family. For a lot of them it is hard to give all their attention when we talk but they are nice. Also, we taught one of our investigators and her ex boyfriend and invited them to church. They both came to church and brought their aunt also....AWESOME! Sunday we also had a lesson with a family menos active and before we left the father told us that something happened this past week that made him think about life. After, he told us he wants to start up church agian so his kids can be baptized. It has been a good week. For mi mismo, Im doing good. Im trying to look for all the miracles we have received and the Lords hands in my life. Im trying to make every day count. I am so excited for the things that are happening in the mission right now! Have a great week! Thank you for everything.

how are all of you

Hey family that i love,

So how are all of you doing? im doing good and hope that all is well at home. i am pumped to read your dear elder letter. so i read the letters from last week and want to touch a little on those things. first off, heck yea im pumped about this tennesee thing. ehtan and jared leave near nashville. i still havent said anything to them but let me know when i can:) Now about zach. dude, dont even worry about not being able to leave. heavenly father is giving you more time to progress and prepare yourself for the mission. use eveyday you have to learn more about the scriptures and read preach my gospel. also, go to the temple and do baptisms for the dead often. i love you so much and am so sorry that you have had so many trials but i know you can make it through anything. stay strong! all of these trials are going to prepare you for the mission. the mission is the most amazing thing in the world but it is rough. I know that you are going to change so many lives and so does the adversary. he is going to do all that is in his power to bring you down but dont let him. you have so much more power than him. Man, i wish i could talk to you to lift your spirit but I wont have the opportuniy until christmas. Read luke 22: 31 - 32. Hopefully you will be called to the Neuquen mission...you never know:) I have faith in Heavenly Father and I know you do too. would be really great to serve side by side! I love you and want you to know you may be my little bug brother but i look up to you like crazy. You have so many character traits that Im trying to gain. Just know that i love you so much and will keep praying that one day we can serve together. Remember the the blessing day gave me when i was home for christmas...it said that our bond/friendship is eternal and more than just the time here on earth. Homies forever, right?:) I love you all and I know my Savior lives. He suffered so that we can have peace in our lives. Have a great week and do something silly...put on some music and have a dance party for me. Oh how i miss dancing on the dinning room table:)

Weekly Letter - 04 Nov 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
Another nueva semana is ready to begin. This past week was pretty good but the mission always has its ups and downs. We have an investigator who was getting ready to be
baptizzed but now doesnt want to because she doesnt want to quite smoking. It doesnt help that her mom tells her she cant quite. But, we are trying to focuse with what she does have. She has a desire to find happiness and feel peace. She also reads the book of mormon when we give her things to read. I know that the book of mormon has power and as she continues
to read it, her heart will change. I had the opportunity to see the power of the book of mormon first hand the week. One of our investigatores reveived a testimony of the book mormon as
she read the intoducction with us. We read the first of the last two paragraphs in the into del Book of Mormon and she felt the spirit touch her heart and she started to cry....and all she read was one paragraph! I think sometimes its easy to forget the power of the book of mormon but

if we us it with faith, miracles will happen. The prophets didnt suffer for some average old book. Elder Ashworth and I are doing good. This week he shared the first vision from memory which is pretty cool because it was the first time he tried to do it. The coolest part was he did it without me inviting him to do it. I WAS PUMPED. Im doing good. I really trying to do my best to be a good trainer, mejorar the way I teach, and so much more. Sometimes I feel like there is so little time to complete so many things but thats the mission...to stretch ourselves. Have a great week and thanks for everything.

sea fire

Dear family,

Im only writing to mom, dad, and zach in this letter...and of course jackson. First, mom that is really scary what happend to you but i know everything is going to be ok. the last monday i could feel satan working on me before i wrote and read you letter. he was trying to make me feel like something really bad happened wth yall and tried to fill me with fear. but, the spirit has more power and i felt peace. which is crazy because all this happened the morning before i read your letter about the seisure and your stress. thank you for telling me because now i know what to say to yall and pray for. what i want all of you to read is mosiah 24. verses 9-11 are abouts trials, 12 is prayer, 13 is responce, 14 is reasone, 15 is about patience, and 16 is help from heavenly father. the people in this chapter were doing everything right but still reeived trails. before you read chapter 24 you all should read chapter 23 also...especially chaptter 23:21-22. it talks about when we do things right we still are going to have trials to test our faith and patience. i want to tell you all dad told me. dad told me that there is nothing in my life that hasnt come without tears of trial and he is so right. but, the same applies to our whole family. all of use have had to stuggle first before we received our blessings. so why would that change? its not going to change because our family has a special plan for us. just by reading zachs pat blessing and my own, i know our family has a purpose more than just being here on earth. heavenly father is preparing us by fire because these days are the last days. there is a scripture that says alma felt great pain but after felt joy equal to the pain he felt. that is because there is opposition in all things and we cannot feel more joy than we can feel pain. that is why we had the trial with eric....because it was to prepare zach and i to be instuments in the lords hands in the mission field, and for you and dad to obtain your dreams and desires, and for our family as a whole to helpthose in need. i know everything is goiing to be ok. never forget to turn to prayer in times of need and know im praying for yall. the spirit is so real! our family has a very special purpose to build up the kingdom of God...and im not saying that to be pridefull or things of that sort. oh and im all down to live in tennesse. after living in atlanta ga imm all down for the southern life haha. also ethan and jared my friends from byu live out there. zach, im so excited for you mission call! jackson you a such a great example for me. keep reading your scriptures. mom and dad i love you so much! dad our music is going to get big, always remember the blessing you received and never settle or give up. mom the spirit and help your body heal and have strenth. i love you all so much and am excitied to read your letters. i hope this letter fills you all with hope for the future and puts a smile on your face.

Weekly Letter - 28 Oct 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
This week was two thumbs up for el reino del Señor! Elder Ashworth saw some great miracles in our area. One of them is named Angelica. Angelica{s family is all members and her brother served a mission about a year ago. The first time I met her she told us that she didnt want to be baptized but likes to attend the church . In the past few weeks that has changed to the point that she has the desire to be baptized. Elder Ashworth and I put a fecha with her friday but in the night she told us she didnt want to be baptized anymore. We were able to have a lesson with her brother sunday in the capilla and she prayed and felt that she needed to be baptized. She has always known she needed to be baptized but had fear. It was awesome that she received an answer because she has had a hard life. She live in an abusive relationship for 9 years with her ex boyfriend and always talks about how she feels an empty space inside of her that cant be filled. It is so great that we are sharing the thing that she wants and needs most in life. I love the church! Elder Ashworth and I are doing good. We are finding new people to teach and need to plan well so that we can teach them all effectively. Elder Ashworth stuggles with spanish still but has no fear to say things wrong...its awesome. As for me, Im doing good. I love villa ceferino and hope that I can have more time to work here because there are so many miracles happening and cant right them all in this carta. We are receiving a good amount of help from the members which is really making a difference in the work. Have a great week. Thank you for everything!

que dices tu

dear my beloved and oh so virtous familia,

how is life going up in the U S OF A? things donw here are going great. im loving the mission. im loving the trials. im just loving life. so i planned a little better this week to write you more. i hope you all love the pics. one of them is pday bowling. and i must say that i bowled my best score ever to finish off with a 132....oh the tender blessings of serving the lord. it was fun jaja. oh, and jaja is the haha of latin america if yall have wondered why i use that. sorry for not writing a ton of letters to everyone. in the usa it was so much easier to send letters. here you have to take the letters to the mail place which is usually in some obscure place out of our area...im trying but just know i love all your letters, emails, and prayers. Side note for zach....you need to look up two talks and read them, THE 4TH MISSIONARY, and HOW TO BECOME A CONSECRATED MISSIONARY BY something CALISTER. those will help you get ready for the mission. they are really good. paul toala, you should read them too! so here in villa cerefino it is the city and a lot different than my last area. things are a lot faster here and i love it. oh before i forget. you are a stud muffin zach. thank you so much for your letter. i loved to here about the experience with skyler. tell him im so proud, pumped, jazzed, hyped, and all the above for him...also i love him to death. jackson, what are you going to be for halloween? You need to plan it out my bro so that you can look good haha. that goes for all my little cousins...choose now if you havent because i want to see pics of you all from halloween. so this past week was good. being a trainer is a whole knew world and im learning so much about my own faults its crazy. haha i have a long way to go to become like the savior. but it is good. this morning we had a really emotional conversation about how his family lifebefore the mission wasnt the greatest. i felt gratefull that i was able to be the one to be there for him. something really crazy this week was we had a lesson with a man and is girlfriend. they are like 50 but no one here gets married. the girlfriend wants to get married so she can be baptized but the man doesnt want to. just about all their kids are members and he never like talking with the missionaries. but, hes changing because now he is talking with us and participating in the lessons. yesterday we invited him to pray with us which he has never done with other missionaries. we got on our knees and he gave a great pray and started to cry. it was great to see the power of prayer woring in his life and we will see what happens in the future with that family. the point is that there is true power in prayer. dont ever forget that faith and prayer is like a one two puch combo from heavenly father, jesus christ, and the holy spirit. this church is so true and im so pumped to be a servant of the lord. the work is rough but nothing worth while ever came easy. FATIQE (cant spell lo siento) MAKES COWARDS OF US ALL. if we apply this quote with the gospel it is so true. we need to prepare ourselves for the game by reading the scriptures, praying, and fulfilling our callings so that nothing can bring us down or stop us from vistory. i love you all.

Dear Presidente Lovell,
the zone conferance was a great spiritual charge for the week. This past week in Ceferno was good. We are still on an uphill climb to complete all of our goals but its a fun journey. The investigadores we have right now are doing good but we need to do better with finding the right people to hermanarles. The other day we had a great experience with a menos active lesson. We shared a scripture with a family that had a less active daughter. We invited her to read the verses but she couldnt finish because she felt the spirit touch her heart. So i read the rest of it for her and when i looked up everyone in the family had tears in their eyes. The father of the family shared his testimony which brought the spirit even stronger. wow it was a great experience. It is truly like it says in the blessing of south america...the people here will be a
great strength for the church. hurrah, hurrah, hurrah for israeal! im learning so much from elder ashworth. he really is a great missionary and im greatfull to teach with him. he is stressed with the language but i keep telling him it will come. the 3 things that i will work on this semana are sea mejor with the regla de 4 4 2 and really give all my effort in that. also, show more love for my compañon so that we can teach with the spirit even more. I also want to work on starting my studies exactly on time and not a couple min late. Thank you for everything. Have a great week!

Weekly Letter - 14 Oct 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
I have one week officially in Villa Ceferino and I love it. It is so much bigger than Zapala but that just means so much more people that are ready to be baptized. This past week we didnt do so well with member presents because I was still trying to get used to the area and who we are teaching but in weekly planning we talked about what members can help our investigadores. The work here is great and I ́m excited for this week because Im a little more settled in. Elder Ashworth and I are getting along good and he is trying his best with his spanish. I ́ve never seen someone study spanish as much as he does. He has flash cards that he is always using in the streets to practise. He has a pretty good understanding of the area but we still have our map with us at all times haha. The addresses here are pretty crazy but I ́ll get used to it. We were able to find 6 new investigadores this week. 2 of them, Victor and his girl friend Daniela, are going to have their first child any day now. Perfect time to bring the gospel into their lives. We found them by walking by their house and talking to them about the church. Great things are happening in the mission. I still have the fire inside of me from 5 de oct and I want to keep forever. The mission is so much fun when our days our filled with work; looking for people or teaching people. I really do love it here. Every change is a little hard at first because its something we ́re not used to but it is a perfect oportunidad to help us grow into the missionary Dios wants. Thank you for everything. I want to throw a huge thank you out to grandpa paul who sent me a jar of peanut butter....i ate the whole thing within a week (i shared a little with friends). it is basically heaven in a jar. I think there is a walmart in my new area so ill be able to buy some more peanutbutter....i pray! Mom the food here is basically pasta, italian, bread, more bread, meat, sausages that have no meat just blood from an animal jaja( it isnt half bad), facturas (bread with sugar stuff on it. its a treat...i love them but i try to stay clear because it is addicting and fattning jaja). Oh soemthing crazy is this transfer I´ll be traing a new missionary. I hope i dont train a gringo (a WHITE person) jaja. I´m all about those chilano comps jk. Hey superstar jackson, i learned that your football number is 13 so in honor of your beastlyness on the football field Ive added more to my rountine of workouts in the morning. every morning i at least do 13 handstand pushups, 52 pushups, and 200 situps. its all about self mastery. I hope you all enjoyed general conference. I loved every second of it, annnnd, i watched the whole saturday session in spainsh....aahh yea:) I love you all and thank you so much for the cartas g. cathy and hno baker. Zach and jack....love you both. keep working hard mentally, physically, and spiritually. its like the famous quote that i have below in blue from one of my favorite football players;) (jack, youre my other favorite football player). que capo que son mis hermanos cheeehoooo

Dear Presidente Lovell,
General Conference was amazing! This week was amazing! It was so great to see you 5 de Oct for the baptisims. Elder Rios and I had a week of none stop work but it was great. I ́ve learned a lot of great things while serving here in Zapala and Im gong to miss some things but I ́m ready to go to Villa Ceferino and continue the work over there. I am more than confident that Elder Rios is going to be a great trainer and work miracles here in 12 de Julio. Something really great here in 12 de julio is the family Sansana who is investigating the church but want to be baptized. The only thing they need to do is get married (and the husband needs to divorce his ex). It has been so great to see there progression with keeping comitments. When people ask them if they are members they always respond, for now no but we are going to be. Everytime I hear that I get pumped up. They are going to be a strong family for the branch, especially because hno Sansana was a catholic missionary at one point in his life. This family was a ref. so I know that there is power in receiving and contacting references. I ́m really excited to know a new area and take what I ́ve learned this transfer to Villa Ceferino and continue to learn. I ́m grateful for the church and I know Thomas S. Monson es a prophet on the earth today. Thank you for everything. If there is anything I can do for you of Hna Lovell let me know.

#22

Dear family and loved ones,
How are things going? i hope everything is going great because down here in argentina life is like a box of chocolates....sweet and fatning haha. the part about that phrase that says YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT YOURE GONNA GET is so true....BUT, when we have the help of Heavenly Father, we may not always know exactly what we´re gonna get but we know it going to be really good. a scripture that i really like is enos 1:15-16. we can recieve what we want/need but in the time of Heavenly Father. Oh the scriptures are so good...all of the answers to our questions are in them. side note, thank you grandma cathy for the card for my birthday. Grandpa paul, you got your dear elder box today but havent opened it yet. but....on the side it says treats so you can guess im pretty happy haha. oh, and it says sun screen.....hahaha i love you! i need to take some fotos of my house for all of you to see. but, the houses here are all made of bricks and cinders without insolation. (sorry my spelling sucks...i blame spanish). Ive really learned how lucky i am live in the USA. We really do have so much it is crazy. Iknow a few of you asked me some question but i forgot to write them down to respond to but thats why we have the atonement...to be forgiven hehe. This week was pretty awesome. My comp and i have been working our butts off. we are seeing a lot of miracles here and trying to lift the faith and vision of everyone. Remeber that i love you all. always keep the faith...esspecially in roughs times because miracles are on the way. our lives are like a story....a story of success when we gain eternal life. all success stories need to have challenges or it wouldnt make a good story. so remember when yall have tough times, you are just making your story way cooler and more interesting. it like all the sports hereos. no one want to read a book about a football player that had everything come easy in his life. its the challenges that add some pep in our step. remember to pray for help when needed. i love you all and am thankful for all of your prayers and support.

Weekly Letter - 30 Sep 2013

Dear Presidente,
The week of 5 de octubre is finally here and I ́m pumped! Not going to lie, this is one of the biggest trials of faith that has ever happened to me in my mission. Right now Elder Rios and I have 2 people that are going to be baptised 5 de octubre but I know this week we are going to find 8 more people that can be baptised. I have faith in that. The other day I read Enos 1:15-16. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for us and that we can still reach the goal of 40 baptisms. We are going to make that goal when the time is right for Heavenly Father. When I was younger I lived with my Biological father because he stole my brother and i from our mom. We lived with him for ten years. For all of those ten years my family prayed and fasted for my brother and I to come live with my mom. Ten years is a long time but Heavenly Father had a plan because one day everything changed and door after door after door was opened and my brother and I were able to live with our mom within a month of when the first door opened for us. I know that miracles can happen. Everyone always says that faith can move mountains. If faith can move mountains I know we can baptise 40 people as a district in one transfer. I also know that 40 baptisms is just the tip of the ice berge. These are the last day so....no better time than now to act in our faith. I know there are people here that are ready for the gospel. But I also know that without the help of Heavenly Father we will never find them. The people arent just black and white, ready or not ready for the gospel. A lot, if not the majority, of the people are in the grey. The way to help those people is with the Holy Spirit. I ́m searching for the things in my life I can change so I can always have the help of the spirit. There are miracles waiting for us, but if we dont notice them, we will walk right past them. Thank you for everything and the spirit you and Hna Lovell bring to the mission.

treasure

Dear Family, Oh what a great weak i had this week. every week is great! Just want to throw out that the snow has melted and the sun is doing its thing. Grandma annie i havent read all of your letter but i cant believe you wrote #likeitalot haha. thats what im talking about family! Get up get pumped and get out!!!! Thank you all for you letters the week behind. I felt pumped up and ready to teach the world....or the people in Zapala ( the city im in). I put two pis on this emial. one of my comp and I with 2 huge hambergers from a couple of weeks ago and the other of an elder from my district in the mtc. we are convinced that one day we are going to serve together! So this week was a sweet as sugar. for pday my district bought a bouncing house for a couple hours in the chaple...SOOOO MUUCHH FUNN. my days of wrestling came handy. its safe to say that I man handled just about ever elder in the district that came my way haha. later in the week we had interviews with president lovell...pres of the mission. i loved every second of it. he brings the spirit so stong every time he comes to town. i love every opportunity i get to talk to him. so the other day i was walking with my companion and i started to think about the mission and life and it hit me! ive always love the mission but this week i learned to love it more. i mean how lucky am i to get two years of looking for people to share the gospel so that they can be baptised and receive the holy spirit and live with their family for eternity. its basically a treasure! every baptism is a treasure! and what does every little kid want to do....find buried treasure. thats what i get to do as a missionary...look for buried treasure for 2 years ( 1 and half years). talk about sweentess. that is deffinatly worthy of a SHAKE AND BAKE. shout out to pop pops...THIS WEEK IVE DECIDED TO PRAY TO THE TEENAGE JESUS. hopefully thats not sac religious..... anyways, the mission is great and i love everyone of you. keep doing great things. and for all my little cousins out there. look forward to serving a mission. it is the greatest thing in the world. not going to lie, the thaught of my mission ending one day is really sad. that is why we make everyday count. make sure you all make everyday count. there a big blessings that heavenly father has for all of us. i read jacob 4 the other day. its DE DIEZ! DE DIEZ means something really good or really cool. theres your argentine slang for the week:) have a great week and remember that heavenly father is only a prayer away.

Weekly Letter - 23 Sep 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
It was great to have the entrevistas this past week and to feel the spirit that you and Hna Lovell bring. It was a nice bust for the rest of the week. Right now we are looking for the people the Lord has prepared here in 12 de julio. Elder Rios and I know that we are going to complete our goals for 5 do octubre. This past week we worked every day to retain what we have and find new members. On saturday we invited more than 20 different people to come to church. We were inviting machines! We also saw a big miracle....we found a family of 7 or 8 people. We were able to talk to them about the plan of salv which the mom really liked. They werent able to come to church sunday but it is a great family for the future. Earlier in the week we had a lession with a member who was able to share her testimony about the church and the temple. After the lession she stayed to talk with the family and we didnt think much of it. Sunday we see her and the part member family we taught walking to church together. It was a miracle. She told them that she would pass by for her family so that they could walk to the capilla together. So awesoem! Elder Rios and I both have a vision to baptize here in 12. We found an older carpeta de area that was hidden on a book shelf and found 18 different registros of people that have asisited the church before. We are going to visiit everyone of them amd complete our goals for 5 de oct. As for me, Im pumped up and ready to go! THe other day iI was thinking about how awesome the mission is. Every little kid has the dream of finding treasure and thats what we are doing...finding treasure (baptisms). It is so much fun that we literally get to look for hidden treasure. I love it! Have a great week Presidente. Thank you and hna Lovell so much for everything.

I made it for some members of the church so they could try it. they loved it haha. zach, i love the picture you made for me. im going to try to print it off so i always have it. thank you beau and heiders for the letters. also, thank you so much grandma annie. i havent read all the letters you all sent me but i will write back the next week to respond to all of them. Just know that im doing good until i write you all agian. i have faith in my heavenly father and i have my family. oooooo baby i love yall so much. haha. so this week was pretty filled with its ups and downs but i can tell you all the the power of the spirit is real. i really know our savior lives. ohhh. yesterday it snowed like santa sneezed. i felt like an elder in russia doing the lords work. not going to lie, my comp elder rios (dont know if i ever told you i got a new comp last transfer but he´s cool. he´s form chile and has one month less than me in the mision) and i got into a couple snowballfights. in one of the snowball fights we found a family of 8 people. talk about miracles. they told us that they used to not like the mormons but now they dont have any problems haha. i was thinking ¨YES!¨ elder rios and i are teaching a family, fam sanzana, and they are really nice. they are investigators and invited us to eat lunch with them in there house. the 2nd time we were in their house they told us that we should feel proud because only about 2 other people have been inside their house. they told us that they only let people they trust inside. it was really nice. ohhh the pic of o dawg and the boys (sounds like a band haha) was awesome! they are so lucky to get to live in hawaii. man!...im jealous haha. i love you all so much. oh, mom, tell nana im still waiting on a letter from her and skyler! haha
enjoy the pics.

Dear Presidente Lovell,
This week was pretty darn good. My numbers for the week are 7/7 5/7 6/7 5/7 3/7 8/8. What I ́m trying to work on making sure I ́m staring on time everyday and not 5 min late. I can really feel the spirit so much stronger when I have a powerful personal study and comp study. It helps me feel spiritually juiced for the day! Elder Rios and I tried to call you today to tell you we were late to the pension 2 times this week. We should have found time though. One of the times we were about 10 min late because our ward mission leader told us to go into a house to tell a menos avtive familia we couldnt have a lesson that day. The other was because the leccion went over and we were a min late to the pension. Besides that everything is great. There are big things happening here! We talked with a family of 8 people yesterday and they said we could come back and visit them. Elder Rios and I are doing good. We are working hard and finding a balance. Im doing good. I feel blessed to be a misisonary and only want to give my heart to the Lord. I ́m excited for 5 de oct because I know we are going to lograr the meta of 40 baptisms. It is going to be a great day for us and the whole mission. Oh, and sorry I dont type a huge letter. I dont type really fast. Tenga una buena semana.

hey

Dear family,

So for starters Niki wrote me an email that we shouldnt write anymore and just focuse on our missions. At first i was really sad but i feel at peace with it. not going to lie, i still care about here but i know heavenly father has a plan. i dont know what will happen in the future with us but its ok. now i can focuse all of my time and become a baptizing machine! In the words of Uncle Beau ¨thats a mission¨. he is so right! when bad stuff happens there´s no need to quite because thats a mission. we are here to go through pain to feel great joy. I got the letters from grandma annie and lacey on sept 7 and i also got my birthday box. I havent opened the box yet, im waiting for my birthdya day haha. but im excited to open it. i havent read your letters you emailed me yet mom but i know they with make me smile....they always do. thanks so much lacey and g annie for the letters. they gave me a bust i needed! 2 days before i got the letters i was thinking how i needed to write and say i could use a letter from g annie but the lord knows my thoughts and one came in the mail. Basically with niki, i dont know really what to say. i sent her an email saying some stuff but idk. Hey uncle beau, if you have a quick second, can you shoot me a quick email? thanks bo bo. Weekly Letter - 09 Sep 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
Like I always say, there are miracles waiting to happen and heppening here in zapala. It is so great to be apart of all of it. I am so excited for the 5th of Oct! It is going to be a day to remember for all of my mission. Like you said in your letter and the first time we met. Things are changing in the mission. I am super pumped! This week was filled with up and downs and miracles. We had a family attend church which was amazing because they said they were coming but they showed up a little late so werent sure if they really were going to come. OHHH HOW SWEET THIS WORK IS! Zapala is changing for the better and so is 12 de julio.
Our ward mission leader is really feeling the fire and it is great. Elder Rios and I are loving every second and picking each other up in times of need. I ́m thankful for him. As for me, I just got a letter from my girlfriend that we shouldnt write each other anymore. Shes on a mission in england. At first I was sad but I feel at peace, like i can really get down to work. It is a little sad because I really did care for her but that ́s ok. We experience pain so that we can feel joy and happiness. I ́m ready to give more of my heart to the Lord! Thank you for everything President. Hasta 19 de septiembre:)...(para verle).
I was doing this wrong the first few times but now its right. I was forgetting to put the time I woke up for the weeks. 7/7 6/7 6/7 3/7 3/7 7/8

Weekly Letter - 02 Sep 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
Here Zapala we usually have lunch everyday. The members here are really great with feeding us missionaries. This past week was a little different but good. We started off with a a trio because Elder Yañez was still here but it was fun! Elder Rios is a funny missionary. We are going to get along great, which I ́m really happy about. I was a little nervous at first because I didnt know what my new companion was going to be like. I think every missionary feels like that at some point. Elder Rios and I were able to teach a lot of our investigatores which was really good because sometimes their schedules make it hard to teach them. We also found a new family. There is 3 kids and 1 mom, there is no dad in the home. We were able to teach the mom with a member which was nice. Elder Rios and I have faith and high hopes for her and her family. I love zapala. I ́m always going to say it but there are miracles here just waiting to happen. We just neet to keep our vision high, faith strong, and work hard. Elder Rios and I are clicking really well. He has me laughing throughout the whole day. We both have our expectations high for this transfer which is great. I ́m excited to see what the future holds here. As for me, I ́m good. Everyday I ́m trying to become the man and the missionary heavely father wants for me. I ́m scared that I want become that person and I ́ll go home after 2 years and fill like I ́m lacking something. I want to work with all my heart and be the 4th missionary and always have peace about my mission and my life. I ́m working hard to have the help of Heavenly Father so that I can find the families that are ready to receive this gospel. In my head every person is ready to receive this gospel haha. Thanks for everything!

Re: Picture

I cried when i saw the picture of jackson in football pads haha. You all look so great haha. dad you are jacked...i cant stop saying that haha. mom...looking 25 and hot! zach, paul told me you and him attended institute togehter...cool beans XD. who was the girl you were talking to? she was your first kiss? are you still dating natalie? what in the world is going on down in sea town!!!! jackson you are a complete stud. remember the juke  move and spin move and youll score touchdowns for days. Keep your shoulders low and you can tackle anyone. Oh, and keep playing the piano. Im going to learn after the mission. If you keep practicing, you can be my teacher:) I love you all so very much. mom, ive been listening to a lot of enya in my house. we can listen to music that invites the spirit here...so i can listen to intrumentals and classical stuff. its all whatever someone thinks brings in the spirit. a member of the chruch down here gave me a ton of music, including enya. I think about you everytime I hear one of here songs. One of the songs is ¨running home¨ and everytime I thinking about my family in seattle. i love my mission and i love being here but that doesnt mean im going to forget about you all. I dont know how you were able to endiure 10 years of pain without us mom. you truly are amazing. Oh dad, im pretty sure i want to study music and business after the mission. thank you so much for your letter last week dad. i miss getting blessing from you or just driving around listening to music. zach you dont understand how you are literally my best friend. i still want to live next door to you. everyday i pray that you can serve with me here in argentina and if it be the lords will, one day serve together. jackson, you dont need to be sad. i know you miss me but ill be back real soon and i can teach you some spanish and you can sleep with me in my bed if you want. you are all so special to me. the meaning of being sealed for time and all eternity means so much more to me now that ive been on a mission and cant see all of you everyday. it is so great to think that we have an eternity together. oh, and zach, every morning i do my first set of pushups at 52 reps....no more no less. maybe all do more later but always 52 first! heavenly father has a plan for us. things might be tough now but just remember the preisthood blessings we have received. we have been promised great things. so just keep on pushing and growing so that we can help those around us in the future. Luke 22: 31 and 32. the picture is of an activity in the church. this is my district haha. mom, i got your letter from july 11 finally haha
