Good days

Dear everyone,

Sorry about the short letter, spent to much time reading other letters haha. This week has been good. Everyday as a missionary is interesting ahah. So the other day Elder Porter and I actually taught a guy names Jesus and he was a mexican rapper. He's a pretty darn good rapper and poet too. We taught him about the church and he really liked it and thinks it can help his life. I know it can help his life in so many ways. Oh yea, i forgot to mention he's a drug dealer. Haha everyone needs the gospel. We met him while we were knocking doors at these appartmets where we have an investegadora. Anywhoo, he is really nice. Zach! I heard you got MVP at the All State game. That is amazing! I expect a long letter real soon telling me all the details!!!! And Dad, I know you're going to do great at your show on at the Croc:)

Conner, Chandler, Drew, and Corrin(dont have your email)

I love you three so much! Since I've been on my mission I have one big regret. I regret not teaching you more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints (the mormons). I wish I would have been a better example to all of you. As a missionary I get to teach all types of people and help them learn about this gospel so that they can truly be happy in life and find peace. There are so many people in the world struggling to find happiness. They just go day to day because they believe that is all life is. There truly is so much more out there for us. I know all of you are going to do great things in life!

I testify that this message is a message of our Heavenly Father. We are all sons and daughters of Him. Everyday we make decisions but we to not have to face them alone. We never have to be alone. We can have the Spirit with us at all times. I know families can be together forever. I know and testify that Joseph Smith was a prophet.

Weekly Letter - 24 Jun 2013

Dear President Harding,
I first want to talk about the importance of the key indicators. I truly believe that those key indicators will help us gather israel. It is a way to track progression. It's like going to the gym. We have to track the weights we are doing and how much weight we are pushing to improve. Just like the key indicators, there are key lifts that help us progress more afficiant and faster in the weight room. I commit to focuse on those key indicators because I know that by those things every missionary can see great miracles and see the work truly hasten. Also, the only way to do some of those key indicators is to involve the members in the work. I loved the broadcast because it reminded us all of the importance of the members.
I have a testimony of Joseph Smith. My first week in the MTC was kind of hard on me and I remember that first sunday I was able to watch the Joseph Smith movie. I sat there and watched all the pain he went through so that I could be a missionary today. The movie gave me the power I needed to lift up my spirit and keep on working. I love Joseph Smith and his family. I love that I get to share his story with the world. I really want to share the restoration with everyone I meet. I know that if I can teach the Restoration in a manner that others can understand, the spirit will be present and help people come unto the gospel. I want to break down barriers of fear and share this story at all times. Fear is selfish! Let be couragous!

Hey Howdy Hoo Ha

Dear Familia,
Sorry about the lame title of this letter, it is the first thing that came to mind. Have any of you been reading Niki's letters? If so, please keep her in her prayers becuase she has a rough companion. Its just a testament to how great she is because Heavenly Father knows she can do something hard like that. That's right, she rocks!
Happy Fathers Day dad! Sorry I havent had time to write a letter but if it makes you feel any better, moms birthday gift is still sitting on my desk at home....sorry mom, im really trying to get it out. Hey dad! I love you so much and am so lucky to have you in my life. My relationship with the priesthood and the spirit is because of the example you have set for me in my life.
Sorry that this letter came on a wednesday, P-day got changed by the zone leaders this week because they wanted us to do some stuff. This week has been really good. I love being a missionary! It's not a cake walk but there is nothing in the world like it. Every once in awhile I think about how I can continue the work when i get home from my mission because the work doesnt stop. I know i wont be an ordained minister but I will be able to continue the work in my daily life. I cannot tell you how many miracles I see everyday. Sometimes its hard to write this letter becuase i dont know which one to choose. One is Uneida. She is 19 years old and is literally amazing. We met her while trackting. We had just stopped for a couple min and sat on some stairs outside some appartments to make a couple phone calls when she drives up with her mom. We walk up and talk to her and find out just how amazing she is. She was so prepared for the gospel its crazy. To make things better, she came to stake conference with us (30min drive) and even brought her friend Lulu. She is legit legit. It is hard enough to get someone to church but for someone to come to stake conference is just steller. She even told her boyfriend that she's getting baptized and how she likes this church a lot. Hey, just so you all know, Kale and are are emailing each other. He is hilarious of course!
I testify that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. This is his church. The goal in this life is to make it back home to live with our Heavenly Father and the way to do that is follow the example of Jesus Christ. I testify that God has love for each and everyone of us and does answer prayers. If we pray with a sincere heart with obedience to His laws, we will be blessed. Heaven is based on obedience, without it, God would cease to be God. DC 82:10 says that when we do what the Lord asks, he is bound to His word(blessings). If we do not do what he asks, we have no promise. Life is so much more rewarding and far less scary when we submit to the will of our Father. Obedience is the key to miracles and happiness. Heavenly Father has a plan for each and everyone of us. Love you all.

Weekly Letter - 17 Jun 2013

Dear Presidente Harding,
This past week has been jam packed with amazing miracles. We met so many great people and had so many opportunities to share this wonderful message. I dont have much time to write because the computers were down at the library and we have to go teach a lesson...the work is hastening!!!! But, the reason I have so much faith in my life is because I have literally seen miracles. My biological father stole my brother and I from our mom when we were 1 and 2. We had to live with him for 10 years and only got to see our mom every other weekend during those years. Those 10 years were rough because my biological father is a drug dealer and part of the mexican mofia and just wasnt a very nice person. But, after 10 years of praying, fasting, and trying to do everything possible to come live with our mom, Heavenly Father finally opened up a door for us and literally in just a couple weeks my brother and I

went from living with our Biological Father to living with our mom. I have seen miracles and I complete and utter faith in prayer. Sometimes things dont happen when we want them to happen but if we stay patient and faithful, Heavenly Father will open the windows of heaven and pore out His blessings. I have faith the I can be helped with all things.

Seattle Weather

Dear Everyone,
Primero! Chao!
I love all of you and hope life is super blessed! I heard that Uncle Beau and Aunt Heidi are moving to Hawaii......que suerte para mi jaja. Oh, when I use spanish...looks like your going to have to find someone to translate or go to google translate:) Just a shout out to the two recent days of birth (birthdays). happy Bday Harrison and Cruz. I love you two and hope you have a jam packed summer filled with sports, ice cream, fun, hot dogs, and going to church:) Happy anniversary to you Mom and Dad. I love you both more than a chocolate mt filled with white chocolate rivers and caramel ponds filled with swedish fish. I sware all this talk about candy doesnt mean Ive put on like 20 pounds haha.
Happy graduation Zach! I love your letter. It made me cry but it was a happy cry. I love your senior photo thing. I have it on my desk so I can see your bulging bicepts every morning and thing about how much more work you need to do to look like the greek god I see in the mirror every morning...only joking....missionaries can joke too:) Dont worry about football zach. Things will work out the way the Lord wants them to happen. Read Alma 14:28. Alma and Amulek were blessed according to their faith. So just have faith and maybe football will have to wait two years like it is with me.
So like is great and still no news on Argentina. Funny thing, i accidentally blessed someone in spanish to have a safe winter instead of summer haha. I memorized Alma 38:5 in spanish and use it a lot when I teach. Spanish is going great and love speaking it...even on the days when I feel horrible at it. Something cool I read in the BOM today is Alma14:10-13. While reading it I just about cried as I thought of seeing that. Love you all!

Weekly Letter - 10 Jun 2013

Dear President Harding,
Elder Porter and I are doing great. We are setting goals everyday so that we can keep the vision of this mission, especially our district, high and alive. My Certification is going good and I usually get my 4 done for every day. On the days I don't, I commit to do whats necessary to catch up. Each day I try to make sure Elder Porter and I are using our time wisely, being obedient, and working hard. I try to keep my faith strong and have a positive attitude as much as possible so those around can feel the spirit and hopefully raise their vision, whether that be in the mission field or life. Right now, I'm working on my relationship with my Heavenly Father. I'm trying to realize the gifts and talents He has given me and the people he has put in my path. Life is so much greater when we look for the miracles in our life. I'm just working hard in hopes that those around me will be touched by the spirit. All I really want to do is be the missionary, person, and man that Heavenly Father knows and wants me to be. I love the certification and the all the support that you and Sister Harding give us. Thank you for your loving spirit and faith.

Great work brother!
President Harding

Somos misioneros

Buenas tardes mi familia,
Gracias por todos las cartas. Realmente estoy muy agredecido para mi familia y amigos. Wow, it is a lot harder to write in Spanish than it is just to talk haha. But I do love all of you and miss you. Buuuuut I'm having a blast out here and love every second of the mission. everyday is another day to see some miracles and grow. Sometimes I feel so weak when it comes to my knowledge or abilities but than i remember out of weak things become strong things and Im like HEY!....thats me:). It's so hard to think about what has happened this past week especially since I wrote yall on wednesday and the weeks on a mission go by so fast it literally is a blur. Todays letter isnt going to be that longer...sorry.
Aaron sanchez, one our investigators, ws able to be baptized by Elder Porter this past week. It was so sweet! Man I love being on a mission. It really is the cats pajamas. Spanish is going good. I still have my days where i feel like i can speak pretty good or suficiente para defenderme (I say that all the time haha) and other days i feel like I can hardly get out what I want to say. But thats all good, its all about being humble haha. So the picture is of me, elder webster from Arizona (Snowflake), and elder Moodie (Utah. Knows Kale and George Micheal....everyone knows George Micheal haha). This is outside the temple in Atlanta. Well, I love you all so much and hope life is going great. sorry about the short letter again. Next week will be better:) Oh, and thank you so much Uncle Beau and Tia Heiders!!!!!

Weekly Letter - 03 Jun 2013

Dear President,
YES! Yes I will follow Jesus Christ. I will work on being more Christlike to all those around me. I've been thinking a lot about the work hastening and Jesus Christ as well as His apostles. There are so many people out and ready to receive this message and that is so exciting. As a missionary i keep asking myself what I can do better and how I can be a better teacher. I've thought a lot about the meaning of this calling and the meaning of the spirit. I've really been trying to work on always having the spirit with me so that in lessons, investigators can feel that power. I've kind of thought of it like this. As a missionary we have been called to teach the gospel by the spirit and especially at this time in the world with this wave of missionaries and people ready to hear the gospel. I myself must make sure all my thoughts and actions are to be like Christ would have. I was also thinking about this. If my companion and I teach with the amazing power of the spirit, the investigator will have more opportunities to notice life with the spirit and life without it. So, instead of having to teach someone 15 lessons before they feel ready to be baptized, maybe it will only take 1. I love this work. I love my area and Elder Porter. I love you and your family and all the sacrifices you all have made to help lead this mission to success. Thank you so much.

Thanks for all you do - YOU ARE MIGHTY _ YOU ARE BRIGHT _ YOU ARE THE LORD'S. THANK YOU > Also, be sure to give me a few sentences on how you are doing. Also, give me a report on your certification each week, are you achieving the 4 item average per day, and are you and your companion well on your way to achieving all the items for 21 days to get certified and what are you doing to make the changes to reach the standards of excellence? You can do this, believe and pray, like the Brother of Jared, that the Lord will light up your mind, your area, your ward or branch. It will happen, but not if you don't believe, then solve and work. Also, are you able to understand that our unified vision and mission is to have the faith to find each day, and to also have the faith and teaching power necessary to invite others to come to the Savior, inviting them to baptism and a date. Give me a feel how that is going for you.
Sister Harding and I love you and know that you are so loved by God and watched over. Never forget how important you are, how incredible your life is!
President Harding
