Weekly Letter - 27 Ene 2014

Dear Presidente Lovell
This week was good. We had two baptisms (Agustina and Sofia). It has been so great to see all the miracles that have happened in the lives of these two girls and their family through the gospel. Their mom was less active for about 10 years and now she is active and wants to marry her boyfriend so that she can have a church calling. Unfortunatly her boyfriend doenst want anything to do with the church and didnt even come to the baptism of agustina and sofia but I believe miracles will happen with the family. You have probably heard about the problem we had with the baptism clothes the day of the baptism. I just want to let you know it was all my fault. I forgot the baptism clothes in the house of the other elderes and they didnt know. I dont think Ill ever forget the baptism clothes ever again. Talk about the most stress I have ever had. But now that everything has passed, it makes a good story. Elder Uceda and I are doing good. This morning we had the chance to watch the talk by Elder Holland about the Book of Mormon and it really brought the spirit. We are at the last two weeks of his training and he is doing great. It was so great to have these past two baptisms with him and to see how happy he was. I am so gratefull for the things I have learned from him. As for me, I know the Book of Mormon is true. I have had great opportunities with the Book of Mormon and one of them was this morning listening to the talk by Elder Holland. I know this work is true and that we need to teach with the Book of Mormon. I am loving my mission and every day! Thank you for everything. Have a great week!

Weekly Letter - 20 Ene 2014

Dear Presidente Lovell,
This past week was great! The Hnas had a baptism which was awesome. Elder Uceda got
the opportunity to do the baptism and I got the opportunity to give the gift of the Holy Ghost. The baptism was of Emily, and it is really special because it was the first baptism of Elder Uceda in his mission. He was pretty darn happy. Emily was also the first person that has given me the opportunity to give the gift of the Holy Ghost. That was an amazing experience and all I can say is that this church is so true. So we had a great experience with prayer this past week. For about 2 days we had been praying to find a famly of 6 people. After about 2 days Elder Uceda lead us to a house where we found exacly 6 people that can be baptized. The same thing happened when I went on an exchange with Elder Yandle. We prayed to find a family of 4 people. We worked all day and towards the end of the day we contacted a couple and made an oppointmenet to come back. Before we left we learned that they are a family of 4. Miracles! We are seeing great miracles here. Ive learned that to have miracles we need to have faith. And we all know that faith is action. Entonces, to have miracles we need to work for it. Its like seeing progress with sports or the gym; the only way to get bigger or see results is put forth the work. The field is white and ready to harvest and I have faith that this is true. Elder Uceda and I are doing good. We have a baptism this week with Sofia and Agustina. We have been teaching them for about 3 months so it is so good to see them at this point in their progress. As for me, Im good; trying to baptize every week! Im trying to have faith sufficient to move mountains and keep working. The mission is really fast which is sad but every moment is another chance to feel the spirit and learn something new. Thank you for everything. Have a great week.

Dear family,
happy lunes yall. This past week was purrddy darn good. I dont know if i talked about emily last week. she is an investigator that we were teaching here in argentina that we felt we should give to the sisiter missionaries. this past week she got baptized and she asked my companion to baptize her and for me to give her the gift of the holy ghost. it was so awesome. that was the first time i have been asked to give the gift of the holy ghost. the spirit was so strong and it was a great blessing. it is a blessing because if we would have continued to teach her she still would have gotten the chance to be baptized but becasue we gave her to the sisiter misionaries we all were able to participate and see miracles. my comp and i got to do the ordinances and the sisters got a bpatism. they got the chance to know that Heavenly Father brings about miracles in ways we cant think. So this was a great chance to learn about do the WILL of our Heavenly Father. Like the very wise saying I WANT WHAT YOU WANT HEAVENLY FATHER, when we do what our Heavenly Father wants we can see so many more miracles. Also this past week my companion and I started to pray to find and family of 6 people. One day this week we entered a house and taught a family of 6 people....the next day i went on exchanges with a different missionary for the day and we prayed that we could find a family of 4 people. we worked all day and at the end of the day we contacted a family of 4 people!!!! as we walked up to the couple all i could think about was that we still need to find a family of 4...and in the conversation we learned that they have two other kids and are a family of 4. Everyone knows that we need to have faith to see miracles. In the index on the book of mormon if yall will look up miracles it says that MIRACLES ONLY CEASE BECAUSE FAITH HAS CEASED....or something like that:) So, to see miracles we have to have faith. What is faith? Faith is action. Faith is the blood, sweat, and tears we put into our goals, desires, and dreams. To have faith we need to put in some work. The more work we put in the bigger the miracles. Its like the gym...the harder we work in the gym the better the results will be. With that, dont forget the "SIRITUAL" FATIGUE MAKES COWARDS OF US ALL. Yall dont even know all the things Im learning here in the mision. Lets just say its a lot and it literally would rock your socks off jaja. Have a great week. Love you all.
Con amor

Weekly Letter - 13 Ene 2014

Dear Presidente Lovell,
This week was pretty darn good. One of the coolest things happened this sunday. So we are teaching two girls names sofia and agustina. They are the daughters of a former less active hna of 10 years. This sunday they were at church which completed the requirement of asisitencia. After the reunion sacramental we had the chance to talk with the mom, hna cayuman, of the girls. She told us about some challenges they are facing right now as a family. She told us that she wasnt planning on coming to church sunday but her daughter sofia
helped them get up and leave. And this is the part that is awesome. So we have talked about how they need to have 3 asistencias in the church to be baptized. Sofia had 3 but her sister only had 2. Sunday morning sofia woke up (she only is 12) and also woke up her mom and sister, agustina (14 anos), and told them that they needed to go to church because agustina needed to attend church one more time to be baptized. Talk about mircles!! And because of that they came to church. It was such a great miracles, especially because about 20 min before church started Elder Uceda and I prayed that they would have the strength to come to church. Great things are happening here! Elder Uceda and I are keeping the vision high. Today we had the opportunity to study about the holy spirit and how we can have it more in our lessons. We are trying to get used to the new schedule so that we can study with power. As for me Im having a blast! I love Villa Cerefino. Im excitied to see some baptisms here and Im super pumped about having the spirit with me. We are doing a purification thing in the zone so that we can have the spirit with us like the missionaries in the book of mormon. I know that we will be blessed according to our desire and actions. Have a great week!
Im not 100 percent sure how to do the new numbers for the horario but Ill do it up to friday.

Weekly Letter - 06 Ene 2014

Dear Presidente Lovell,
This past week had its highs and its lows. The low was that our investigators that were going to be baptized this week didnt show up to church so the date got pushed back. Also the step father of the girls said we are annoying becasue we past by once or twice a week. The mom is supportive and the step dad wants the girls to be baptized but doesnt understand everything beacuse he doenst want to talk to us about the church. The good that happened this week was a memeber who is in the process of activating herself so her daughter can be baptized bore her testimony yesterday and it was amazing! After she bore her testimony, the member who is helping us teach them bore his testimony about this work and how he didnt want to help us at first but know is so happy he said yes. It was awesome to sit and hear all these miracles happen. Elder Uceda is doing good with the leccions. He is doing great with inviting without fear to be baptized. The other thing he said he is trying to do is do what the spirit says to do. He told me sometimes he has fear to what he feals he should say but now is getting over that fear. We are doing great together and working great. We both have testimonies of fasting because everytime we fasted in our time togehter we have seen so many mircles. As for me Im doing great. I am trying to do everything right so that the people we are teaching can be baptized. These people are so awesome here in Villa Cefero. Have a great week.
