Great Things

Dear Familia,

As you can see from the title, this week many great things have happened. One of them being that i finally got my box from christmas. THATS RIGHT MOM....I GOT MY BOX. it was filled with a bunc of great stuff. i ended sharing the candy with a bunch of other missionaries but i wore the tie the very next day. also, it came with a book called ¨misisonary miracles¨. I have literally read have the book this week because its fillled with things that i love...MIRACLES. Mom you have a ton of faith because ill never forget when you told me that you still had faith that the box would come. i honestly wasnt to sure. but after 4 months of waiting, it came jaja. it just goes to show that sometimes we have to be patient. So my companion and I had a great day the other day. we were able to teach a less acctive and part member family with the help of a member which was great. After we went look for more people to teach but didnt have any luck. as we were walking a family poppped into my head that we had passed by to visit a few days before. We passed by and they invited us in. The first thing we started to do was share what we believe and share our testimonies. They told us they went to a different church but we continued (respectfully of course) to share and testify. the spirit was so strong and it was so great. The father ended up saying that he would read the book of mormon and that we could come back. MIRACLES! all we shared was simple things and our testimonies but these things really brought the spirit. After, we left feeling so great and filled with faith! But when things go great is always when the oppociton comes. So, as we left the police stopped us and mad us take out our IDs because they said that people were complaining that we were knocking on there doors in the night. I tried my best to be a good rep of the church and just told him we were sorry and asked him for what he thought we should do to not bother the people. everything ended well. as we walked away i couldnt help but feel like Peter and John, two apostles of Jesus. They went out and taught the people even though the Pharasis said no and were bothered. Oh how great it is to be a missionary of Jesus Christ. The story is in Acts 5 of the bible. Well, I love you all so much and hope that you have a great week. Im doing great and enjoying everyday. Im learning so many great things its fantastic. Thats the beauty of the gospel and life...there is always more to learn. have a great week and learn something new:)

Weekly Letter - 28 Abr 2014

Dear Presidente,
Was this a great week or what! Things are on the rise here in Bariloche. Centro C was able to get out of the house a little more. What came from that was that they put a new fecha! Centro had a long week of doing divisions with other hnas and were still able to have 6 member presents. Alto 1 was able to have 6 less active lessons this week. We did really well in some areas but not to great in others. The chanllenge I think for everyone is to find a balance. But the Hnas are doing great things in there areas. Dina Huapi is doing good. I think you heard about what happened with the police and how people have called and complained for contacting. We are going to try really hard to plan citas in the night to evitar that. But, its just a testament that this is the true church and that their is oppocition in all things. Im pumped because before they pulled us over we had found a great family and had a great day. My faith was high and so was my spirit. And after they talked with us I felt like Pedro and Juan were told by the Parasees to stop teaching the doctrine of Jesus Christ. Oh how great it is to be a representantes of Jesus Christ! I love this church and I love the work. Elder Laguado and I are doing good. Our goal is to finish off this week strong and not get lazy because its transfers. Im doing great! Big things are coming. When there is great oppocition its only because something great is on its way. Thank you for everything. Nos vemos a la conferencia con el Elder ViƱas.

Pascua (Easter)

How the best family in the world doing?
i hope easter was sweet! things here in the patagonia have been going good. this past sunday we had two investigators come to church! talk about ahuge miraccle because this is the first time since ive been in this area. they are twins and really nice named Natalia and Natasha. So monday we had a faamily home evening that was awesome. we made chocolate eggs! here in bariloche chocolate is famous so there has been a lot of eggs jaja. my comp and i also did some service for a less active family this week. we literally moved sand infornt of their house for two hours!!!! but its all good because it made me feel like i was in the weight room again jaja. also after doinng the service they had a bbq (asado in spanish) for us. its safe to say that we ate like kings :). during the week we had the chance to see so many miracles and had reunion with the pres of the mission. one of the things he said that was a saying ffrom the misson of his daughter was WE RECEIVE REVELATION ON THE MOVE. so basically we cant sit around and wait we have to go out and act. also, with the less active family, we had a good lesson but one of the things we focused on was WHAT HAPPENS HAPPENS, BUT THE CHURCH IS STILL TRUE!!!! we will always have challenges but the church will always be true. we just got to keep on going and we will see the miracles. this past week i read D and C 122. the whole chapter is great! it is directed to joseph smith as he when in prison. Oh, you all need to see the video of jesus christ called BECAUSE OF HIM OR GRACIAS A EL. it gets me so pumped you have no idea. I love my Savior and I know He loves us. I am so gratefull for the Atonement and that we can be together as families after this life. Jesus Christ lives and for what He did we can live forever with Him. In times of trial turn to Him and all will be well. All of our trials are to grow and learn. I love  you all so much and want you to have a great week 333.png

Dear Presidente,
Things are going good here in Dina/Bariloche. The capacitacion by the asistants was great! When we left, we went and showed the video BECAUSE OF HIM to a family and the two daughters committed to come to church. The rest of the family didnt want to come to church but they said they liked the video. Another one of the daughters told us that she didnt want to see the video but the whole family said it was short and good. So she watched it and then said she really liked it! Awesome! The district is doing good. Centro C had a rought week because they couldnt leave the house. But they both want to get out and work. I think this is a good chance for them to come out sprinting like a race horse ready to work. Sometimes its the challenges that help light the fire we need. Alto 1 and Centro A are doing well and trying to help their investigators progress. They have some great people but can be a little duro. Dina Huapi is doing great! This past Sunday, yesterday, we had two investigators attend church; Natalla and Natalia. They are twins and daughters of a less active family that left the church about 18 years ago. Its pretty crazy but awesome. Hopefully they can really feel the spirit of this message and change their lives so that they can be examples for their whole family. Their mom and dad said that we can teach their daughters but as for them they dont want to change their church. ELder Laguado and I are doing good. We have both had some great
experiences together and are so happy that we were able to finally bring some investigators to the church. I love my companion! As we walked down the street one day after the intrviews we could really feel the spirit as went out looking, it was great. As for me, Im doing good! the other day i had a dream that i had finished the misison and i was about to get released and i saw a group of people walking down the street. In the dream i started to cry because I could go contact them. One thing I learned from my dream was that the mission does not last forever and i got to make every moment count. Oh how great it is to be a missionary! What happens happens, but the Church is still true! Thank you so much for the work you do. Have a great week.

Weekly Letter - 14 Abr 2014

Dear Presidente,
This week was awesome! Centro C had a baptism! Her name is Celeste and she has about 11 years and is very nice. It was great to see how their hard work has paid off. We have really seen some miracles here in Bariloche. We also had the chance to do a Tsunami in their area which really went well. I know Hna Lopez and Hna Hansen are happy with their baptism. This week as a district we did really well with references but need to make sure we buckle down and contact them all. Alto 1 was able to put 2 new fechas and they are pumped about that. I think everyone is getting pumped up here. My area is doing good. Its all mental here. They second the thought comes into the mind that there arent a ton of houses you got to flush it out. Im keeping the faith strong that there are people here waiting to here this message. Everyday we some time of miracles that helps keep the vision and goals high. Elder Laguado and I are doing well. We are getting better at comunicating with one another every week. We are trying to think of how we can help these people here better. As for me, Im doing good. Im getting pumped just thinking about all the people that are waiting for the atonement of Jesus Christ! This church is so true I cant help but get excited. Big things are coming to this mission. What Im trying to focuse on is how I can feel the spirit more so that the people can feel what I feel. I have faith that great things come to those who follow the Lord. Its like Nefi and his family; they gave up are their gold and land for things far better. Its true the journey was filled with trials on the way to the promised land but those trials are what helped them grow spiritually. Im pumped for this week and the miracles that we are going to see! Thank you so much for everything. Let me know if there is anything Elder Laguado and I can do for you. Have a great week!

Easters

Dear Family,
So it has just come to my attention the easter has passed and i dont rememeber if i wished yall a happy easter. happy easter. here in bariloche there is a display of the biggest chocolate egg in the world. it is crazy. this week they are going to present it and break it open and give free chocolate to all the people. i dont know if we can go but if we can, you already know im going to get my chocolate on. So the shwinn has now been baptised and is on that thugg status! I am so happy for you jacky boi. I was thinking about you on saturday and on sunday. One of the cool things that happened this week was two sister misionaries in my district had a baptism with a girl named Celeste. She is awesome. The coolest part was that she asked my if I could do the baptism. i was like heck yea, you better believe i con do that. that made me feel good and think of the jacky bonks shwinker even more. So this week i was studying spanish and it was something that i just didnt understand. it literally was driving me crazy and i thought to myself this doesnt make sense. but i kep on studying and something amaizing happened, i understood why. the gift of tongues is real but that is not the point of the story. after i had this little experience....happens a lot jaja....i thought to myself, this is how our lives are. sometimes we just dont understand why things are happening or what is going to happen. maybe we know what might or could happen but we are not sure. but, all we got to do is keep on going (like keep on studying). Also, i was reading in the book of mormon about Nefi and how he and his family left all of their gold and land so that they could go to the promised land. they gave up their home and what they were used to for soemthing so much better. In the process of ding this they had many tests on their way to the promised land but its those tests that helped them grow spiritually. we cannot have the endpoint without the journey. so just like Pres Uchtdorf said, let us be grateful for all things in our life. I love you all so much and hope you have a great week.

Weekly Letter - 07 Abr 2014

Dear Presidente,
Oh what a semana! For starters, sorry that I got sick at the conference. I was super pumped for the conference and have no idea why of all the days in the mission I had to get sick that day. The district is doing good. The hnas of Alto 1 had a little scare the other day as some guy started following them late in the night. Nothing bad happened but they didnt feel comfortable. I told them to call if that should happen again. Cento C has a baptism coming up this week so that should be fun. Another soul unto Christ, thats some good stuff happening. The hnas de Centro A are capas! They are working hard and great examples. My area in Dina Huapi is on its way to great things for the members there. We are seeing a lot of little miracles. But its like the scripture says that for small things become great things. Thats Dina Huapi, a small place with great people ready to except the gospel. My companion and I are doing good. I will never forget what the mission Pres in Atlanta said about companions. He said that every companionship has the ability to be a great one. So that is what we are working for. As for me Im doing great. The general conf is like the super bowl for the missionaries. I received so many answers to questions I had and Im so grateful that I have a year to put everything in practice. Watching the conf made me sad to think I only have one more left in the mission. Its just another reason to enjoy every moment in the mission because its 2 years that come and go faster than people think; there is no time to waste. Its time to get up, get pumped, and get out so we can see some miracles! Thank you so much for everything. Im looking forward to Entrevistas the 17th.
