Another great week

Dear family,
so great things are happening in my area and in my mision. Elder Merrell and I have been working hard to double our faith and we have seen some great miracles.
We are teaching a family that is less active with kids that arent members. There is Brenda and Daniel and their mom who hasnt come to church in a lot of years but is very nice. I love this family because the mom has taught me a lot about patience. she is very sweet but has trouble making excuses but she has progressed a lot. Its been about 4 months that ive been visitng this family and its just in the last few weeks that this sister had come leaps and bounds. When i first started to pass by this family it was hard to not get frustrated and lose faith in them but Ive seen miracles. Yesterday we passed by with a member to take the kids, brenda and daniel, to church and when we showed up they were all dressed and ready to go. there mom had gotten them up and helped them get out the door which was great. I dont know the mom, Roxana, will come to church but she says shes really close. I believe her, I think its just a matter of time that she comes.
We all have great potental as sons and daughters of our Heavenl father we just got to be a little patient sometimes with others and with ourselves jaja.
Here are some pics

Dear Presidente,
This week went by pretty darn fast. Time flies when you ́re having fun! The Hermana Lideres had themselves a bauptism this last week. His name is Bruno. It is the first baptism of the zone this transfer and they are doing great. The zone as a whole is doing good things. We are looking for the way to help them all fotalezer su faith. With faith firm in the gospel the pruebas that will come at them will only make them stronger missionaries and members of the church. Our area is doing great. We have some great people that are on track to be baptized in the following goals. We still got to keep working to lograr our goals but it is exciting to see what happens with the Lords help. Elder Merrell and are excited and every day we are trying to duplicar la fe. Every day is a great day filled with miracles. As for me, Im great! Im excited to see the Conferencia General and listen to the talks that will be given. Before the mission I never gave the Conferencia General much importance but not its my Super Bowl every six months. The work is true and o ́ so great. Hurrah por Israel! Thank you for everything. Lets go get em!

Another great week

Dear familia,

So we have another week in the record books! Everyday just gets better and better. Elder Merrell and I are working our tails off and loving every second of it. It is just so darn fun to look for people to share the gospel. Its not easy but nothing great in life comes easy.

This past sunday while we were i sacrament meeting I had the chance to think about our Savior Jesus Christ and what He did for us. A scripture came to my head so I pulled our my scriptures and read it. It was Alma 7:11-12 and says:

11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions andtemptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succorhis people according to their infirmities.

I started to think about how Jesus Christ suffered for all of us for many reasons was so he could know how to succor us. After, another scripture came to my mind, Lucas 22: 31-32 (something that aunt Heidi shared with me in the MTC) :

31 ¶And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desiredto have you, that he may sift you as wheat:
32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
I started to think about the trials that we all have in life and why we have them. Yes we have trials so that we can come closer to our Heavenly Father and become stronger but their is something more. But having certain trials in our lives we can then go help others that are going throught the same thing.
It was something interesting that I was thinking about the other day jaja. Just know that all is well in the mission and miracles are all around us. Love you all

Dear Presidente,
This week was a great one! The zone is on its way. They are in the progression of even greater things. These missionaries are so great and bring the spirit with them. The are mighty disciples with great faith. Our area here in 5 Saltos is doing amazing. the members are helping and they have great goals for the ward. We had the chance to find a family this past week that was a reference from the Bishop. They are the family Avilez and have know the Obsipo for quite some time now. The husband, Pablo Avilez, has read the whole Book of Mormon and loves it. They are a miracles. In fact, when we knocked on the door of their house, Claudia, the wife of pablo, answered and said that Pablo wasnt home so that we would need to come back another day. Right before we left, pablo showed up from work and invited us in and we had a great leccion with the family. When we left, Elder Merrell and I began to talk about how Heavenly Father always has a plan. It was amazing to see that Pablo showed up right before we left. If we would have arrived at their house just a little bit earlier we would have missed him. I didnt even realize how big of a miracle it was until Elder Merrell told me when we left. I think an Apostle said something like this, ̈I dont know how He does it, but Heavenly Father always does what benefits us and Him. ̈ I loved that. Elder Merrell and I are doing great and enjoying the mission. We have seen some great miracles happen! As for me, Im doing good. Im learing day by day. I love the gospel and seeing people accept the gospel in their lives gets me pumped. I know that we can do all things in Christ that strengthens us. Thanks for everything. Have a great week.

I feel old

Dear Family,

I feel old. I cant believe Im 21. Im already getting back pains and losing my memory and times.... ajaja Naw, I feel great! Im just a little shocked to see how time passes really fast in life.

This week was a great one. We got to see a lot of miracles. The other day we talked to a man who is a member of the church but hasnt come to church in about 10 years. We started to talk with him and it started off great but then he started to attack us a little. It didnt help that he was a little drunk. He wasnt listening to our explainations as we talked and at time didnt give us a chance to talk. It was rough. At one point he asked a question and I had no idea what to say. I started to respond but I fumbled with my words because i didnt know what to say. Then, out of know where, something came to my mine. It was nothing more than about 5 words but it was clear...so i said it. As i said those words in response to his question I could feel the spirit and I know he could too. he changed. He said that we could come back another day.

The spirit is the key to all things in the mission, as well as in life. Sometimes when challenges come in life we dont know how to respond or when we respond it just doesnt come out right. The promise of our Heavenly Father is that if we look toward Him and act, He will guide us in our lives. I know that faith is more than a word, it is power. We can do all things in Christ that strengthes us.

I love you all so much and wich you a great week.

Weekly Letter - 15 Sep 2014

Dear Presidente,
This past week was a great one! As a zone we didnt have a week filled with booming
numbers but just about every companionship has a new elder or hermana; I think this week was a week to test the waters for a lot of the new people in the zone. I think within this week everyone will be settled in to their areas and be ready for some miracles. Our area is doing great. We have some great families that are receptive to the gospel. It is so great to see when people have interest in the gospel and have a desire to come unto Christ. Its some exciting stuff! 2 of our investigadores, Gabi and Luciana, are working on getting married so that they can get baptized and then in one year go to the temple! They have had some many changes
in their lives these past couple months. Ive seen countless miracles happen with them. Everytime a challenge comes up we alway tell them to put their faith in Heavenly Father and pray. Every single time what they needed has come. This gospel is pretty darn true! Elder Merrell and I are doing great. We are more pumped than ever to reach our goals and enjoy
the spirit in our lives. Im learning a lot from him. As for me, Im great! Im loving the mission. The other day we were knocking doors and contacting people in the streets and I couldnt help but think about the joy I have to be in Argentina as a missionary. Not only that but as I talked with
the people I could feel a happiness that only the spirit can bring. It can be so easy to take this time for granted in the mission but I am thankful for the little extra time I will have here. Thank you so much for everything. Im thankful to be a missionary. Im thankful to be here in la mision Neuquen Argentina. Im thankful for my Savior. I know what we are doing is true. Heavenly Father guides us all even when they dont know it. Thank you for everything. Have a great week.

Faith

hey family,

All is good here in the land of Dulce de Leche. If you dont know what that is yall can google it; its some good stuff jaja.

So im the most pumped i have ever been to know that Zach is goiing to Mexico! Elder Merrell and I watched the video of him opening his call and went nuts!

We had transfers this last week but Elder Merrell and I are staying together for at least one more transfer. We are pumped! Go big or go home!

This past week has been great. We started to teach a less active and Part member family. They are super nice and have the desire to get back in the swing of things. We taught them two times this week and the whole family came to church this sunday. Heavenly Father has really prepared their hearts. One of the kids, tamara, will be getting baptized in the next month or so which will be great.

I love my mission and have faith for the future. Faith is essential in order to return home and live with our Heavenly Father. Sometimes we need to do a personal assement and see where are faith is at. But i know that by reading the scriptures and acting in faith, it is the way to increase our faith. Faith is power. Faith is maintained by personal righeosness.

I love you all greatly and sorry Im a little rushed. thats transfers in the mission for ya jaja.

Have a great week.

Dear Presidente,
For starters, sorry that I didnt write last week. We had some problems with the computer to start off and I forgot to go back and check if I could have written again. The zone this week had a case of week 6 traslados but we could still see some good things. There is a lot of changes in the zone but Im excited see what all these missionaries can do. The area of elder Merrell and I is doing great! We have been working a lot with looking for families in the registrado de miembros and part miembro familias. We had the chance to talk with a less active and part miembro familia this week named the Flia Farias. We had two lessons with them this last week and they came to church. Talk about some great miracles going on! Elder Merrell and I are doing great and we are super pumped for the work. We are looking for the guidance of the spirit and trying to stay stong in the faith. Im doing great! Im so happy to be here in Cinco Saltos and to be a representante de Jesucristo. One quick thing...So I entered the MTC March 13 and my card that says when I go home has the fecha for 24 of Febrero. So that means I would have to leave at the end of the transfer in Febrero which is like the 22. The next transfer ends 4 de Abril or close to that date. With your permission, I would like to extend so that I leave in Abril instead of Febrero. Thank you so much for everything. I know this church is true and fear and doubt are not associated with faith. Have a great week. 6:30 7/7

I have a few days either side of the anniversary of your arrival date where I can change the release date. Outside of this range we have to receive permission from the general authorities of the missionary department. The next transfer date is Apr 7. It is just inside the window. I have changed your release date to Apr 7. Thanks for being yourself. Enjoy your time in the mission. You are a great missionary.

Que dia

Buen dia familia,
Everything is going great in my area. time seems to be going faster and faster every day. Sorry i didnt write yesterday, the ciber was closed so we couldnt write.
Things in the mission are going great. As a mision we are seeing so many great miracles. here in the patagonia we dont have a temple. The goal we have as a mission is to get to the point that one day we can get a temple here. We have to help a lot of people learn about the gospel. But, its great to know that we are all united in one purpose so that the families here can one day have easy access to a temple.
Its true what everyone says up there in the USA; we are blessed with temples so close. I see the families here that have to save for a year or more just to go to the temple. This families sacrifice so much. It is amazing to see the parents and what they do just so that their kids can go to the temple, which is a hard thing.
I love the members that are in my ward! The other day my comp and I were talking about all that they do for the missionaries. There are a lot of families that give us lunch every week (because here we dont eat dinner) and dont even have enough for their whole families. But they always tell us that they do it because they love us and they know Heavenly Father will bless them. Its amazing to see their faith.
1. I am greatful for my family
2. I am greatful to be a missionary
3. I am greatful to feel Gods love through the Holy Spirit
4. I am greatful for the scriptures
5. I am greatful that Jesus Christ gave His life for me
I just wanted to share 5 things of what Im greatful for. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for all things; so there is no need to worry about tomorrow when we can enjoy today.
Have a great week.
