Done. But never finished.

Dear Family,

The time has come and I cant believe it has gone by so fast. I have been a missionary oficially 2 years and 2 weeks and I am in my last week of my mission. I can still remember my first days in the MTC and in the mission field. I have met so many great people and had so many great experiences. Heavenly Father has opened my to many great things in the gospel and for that, I will always be greatful.

This past week went by fast and my comp and I had some great experiences. There is a new video of the church called Gracias A Que El Vive (I have no idea what its called in English). It is about Jesus Christ and how we can draw closer to Him whenever and wherever. After my comp and I saw that video our Mission Pres, Pres Lovell, invited us all in the mission to help others pray to know that Jesus Christ lives. After receiving that invitation it as if the soluction to everyones problem with whom we spoke was to pray to know if Jesus Christ lives. We talked with a taxi driver while we were in his taxi and we got to one point in the conversation when he asked us how to repent of his sins and how can he know if he was forgiven. We were able to tell him and testify of our Savior Jesus Christ. Later, we talked with a lady who has been less active for about 20 years. She told us that she has never felt that God exists because she has never felt Him in her life. It was amazing how the Lord prepares the people because after she told her that we testified of our Savior and that He lives which may or may not have solved all her questions or problems but she did invite to come back (we had knocked doors and thats how we found her....miracles!!!). Great things have happened.

Elder Candia and I this week went knocking doors looking for people to teach and knocked a house and a lady came out. The lady told us that she was less active and was a member of the church for many years before she stopped going. I dont know we said but I do know that the Lord prepared her heart but the result was that she invited us to come back. When we came back she accepted the invitation to come to church this coming week with her kids and her kids accepted the invitation to be baptized. We gave a book of Mormon to the oldest daughter, Marilin (13 years old), and she had it in her hands she thanked. Before we left she was hugging the book of Mormon and she told us that she was going to read all of it. It is a powerful image that I will always have in my mind.

I have thought a lot about what to say in this last letter and what came to my mind was a phrase that my first companion and trainer in atlanta wrote in his last letter: DONE. BUT NEVER FINISHED. I my be ending my time a full time missionary here in Argentina but I will never be done being a missionary. I love this work to work much to ever stop. These two years have marked me in a way that only my Father in Heaven and Savior will ever be able to understand. Many people have asked me what I have learned in these past two years....My answer: What havent I learned in these past two years.

I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I have felt its power in my own life. It has lifted me up when I was down and has given me the faith to keep going. I have seen it change my life and many others. The Book of Mormon is the most correct book that there is on this earth and with bring any person closer to God than any other book. I know Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I testify that he saw God the eternal Father and His son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.

I know that Jesus Christ lives. I know that He is my Savior and I love Him so very much. I know that He died for the sins of the world and rose from the dead on the third day. He love us all so greatly. I have felt His love. I know others can feel the same. We are all missiories of our Savior. This is His work and it is perfect just like Him.

I love you all so much!

Con Amor,

Dear Presidente,
This week has flown by so fast! The zone is doing great. We had a zone p day which was good because everyone got to see one another. Everyone is working hard and there are a lot of companionships that have a lot of investigadores that need to get married but once they get that done they want to be baptized, which will be great. My area is doing great. Our investigador Daniel didnt come to church this past week so he wont be baptized in my time here but I am happy that he is still progressing and I know he will get baptized soon. Also, I have seen a big difference in the hearts of the gente after we saw the new video Gracias a Que El Vive. We met a taxista who, after talking with us for a little bit, asked us how he can be sure if his sins can be forgiven. It was like a bell went off in my head saying that he needs to know that Jesus Christ lives. We shared a tarjeta with him and invited him to pray. Later that same day we met a less active lady by knocking doors that doesnt believe in God. She told us that she has never felt Him in her life. It was as if that same bell went off in my head and we were able to share the importance of prayer and Jesus Christ. She may still have some doubts but she invited us to come back. The Lord is hastening His work. Elder Candia and I are doing great. I feel that he has helped me get to the point where I want to be before I go home. I love him so very much for his help. We actually fasted this week and had a great experience. As we fasted we found a less active Hna that invited us to come back and teach her family. When se came back she said she felt she she come back to church andher 3 kids accepted fechas para el 2 de mayo. As for me, Im doing good. It is different to think that I am in my last week and sometimes a little sad but I know the mission work wont end when I finish the mission. I have learned how to be a missionary forever and I am so greatful. I love my Heavenly Father and Savior so much. I have this last week left and I want to leave it all our on the field. I want Elder Candia and the future elderes that came here can baptize and rejoice in the work. thank you President for everything. I love you and the Hna Lovell so much. Thank you again for helping me change my life! Have a great week.

Our Savior

Dear Familia,

This was another great week here in the mission. It is amazing to see the hands of the Lord at work.

Elder Candia and I have an investigator who is a stud. His name is Daniel. I have mentioned him a few times in the past few weeks. Yesterday we talked about the Book of Mormon and he said that he believes that is true. He also believes that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. He is being prepared by the Lord.

In a couple weeks we have the General Conference and I am very excited. Like I have said before, it is the SuperBowl for missionaries. Im so pumped for my Brother Zach to have the opportunity to see the General Conference as a missionary. There is nothing more special than listening to the Prophet and Apostles talk while in the service of the Lord Jesus Christ. I hope all of you are thinking about questions that you have before the Conference. Questions are the doors to revelation. As we listen to a the Conference with a certain question and listen well, we will leave with our answer.

A while back here in the mission we had a guest speaker, Elder Viñas of the 70. He said something that I will never forget. He said ¨I think about my Savior everyday¨. What a great example of drawing closer to the Savior. Easter season is just around the corner and we have the opportunity to not only think about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ but talk about him as well. It is a time to think about our relationship with the Master and help others come unto Him. It is because of Him we can start over. It is because of Him that we can find happiness. It is because of Him that our families can live together forever.

I hope we can keep our Savior always present. I know that He lives and testify of His power.

I love you all so much. Have a great week.

Dear Presidente,
This week has been great. The Hnas Moreira y Parlogean had a baptism and were very
happy about that. A lot of familiares came to the baptism that arent members of the church which was great. There are a lot of compañerismos in the zona that are teaching families that are preparing themselves to get married and baptized. Good things are happening. I am greatful for the help of the Lord and all that is happening in the mission right now. My area here in Cipo is still amazing. The members and the people in general are great. We have been finding good families now we just need to buckle down and help them progress in the gospel. We actually a miracle with one of our investigadores, Daniel. Sunday night we passed by his house and verified si he had read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it. We only left the Intro as homework but he read all the way until the pictures. He says that he believes it to be true and that he believes Joseph Smith to be a profet. We taught him the Palabra de Sabiduria and he said he is going to work on dejando todo. The Lord has really prepared his heart. Elder Candia and I are doing great. He is helping me in a lot of things. I believe one of those things would be helping me get closer to my Savior. I am very greatful for my companion. As for me, Im doing great. Yesterday I had a great experience. Elder Woodbury called us to tell us about the miracles that were going on in the mission at about 7 in the night. He told us about the5
baptisms in Plaza Huincul and that many other zones were seeing miracles. While talking with him something happened inside of me. I felt a spark that I needed but cant explain. All I could feel was an overwhelming desire to baptise and a need to esforzarme mas. When Elder Woodbury hung up I turned to Elder Candia and said ̈Elder, we need to baptize ̈. We hadnt planned on visiting Daniel but Elder Candia said Daniel still can be baptized. We both got pumped and went to Daniels house to teach him the word of wisdom so he can progress. And that brings us to the miracle that I shared earlier. The Lord is preparing the way. I have faith in His power and desire to be closer to Him. He is the Master. I want to make Him proud and I love Him greatly. Thank you for all your help. Have a great week.

The Lord has a plan

Dear familia y amigos,

This are going by fast but great things are happening. Our investigadores are doing great. We have found some new families to teach which is a great blessing. Gama has told us that he has found another church and no longer wants to learn more. It is sad but at least I know we did what we could. But the good news is Daniel is a stud. He couldnt come to church this past week but we called him yesterday and made an oppointment to pass by this week. Before we hung up he told us ¨Hey, dont forget to bring me a Book of Mormon. I bought some glasses so that I can read it now.¨ All I could think was that Heavenly Father is preparing the hearts of the people.

I had the chance to go on exchanges with another elder in the zone. that is when we change companions for one day to learn from one another and see how things are going. I went with one of our district leaders in the zone named elder graves. when we went out we had the chance to teach an investigador of his named, ariel. Ariel is thinking about getting baptized and his wife is a member of the church. We have been praying and fasting a lot for him as a zone. Anyways, in the lession he told us that he had a dream of elder graves. in the dream elder graves was giving a him book of mormon and told him that his anwser was found in it. Elder Graves and I were blown away and asked him what he that he should do now. He responded ¨I need to start reading the Book of Mormon¨. Just another example of the Lord preparing the hearts of the people here.

Just like Heavenly Father is preparing the hearts of the people to accept the gospel his is also preparing our lives. He has many things in work and a lot of time we can see it and we just dont understand why things turn out the way they do. Or, sometimes we think, ¨why hasnt anything happened yet¨. Although I may not know what the Lord always has planned, I know that He has a plan. I testify of the goodness of our Father in Heaven. He loves us greatly and knows what we need. I am greatful that He has given me this time in the mission. I love Him.

Thank you all so much. Have a great week.

Dear Presidente,
This week was great! We had the chance to do exchanges with Elder Graves and Elder Hill. They both are a couple of studs. Elder Graves is doing good. He has had some rough experiences in the mission but he wants to end good. We had the chance to see a great miracle together when we taught Ariel, one of his inv. Ariel told us in the cita that he had had a dream that night of Elder Graves. In the dream Elder Graves gave him a Book of Mormon and told him that his answer to be baptized was in it. We asked him what he that he needed to do and he responded ̈I need to read the Book of Mormon ̈. The mission is changing and the Lord is apresurando su obra. My area is doing great. We had the blessing to have found two new families that past week. One is a family from Bolivia and the other is a single mom, Patricia, and her daughter. Patricia told us that she had gone to our church a while back and even listen to the missionaries a few times. The miracles dont stop there. Our investigator Daniel, the one who found us (two weeks ago he saw us and called us over so we could teach him), didnt come to church yesterday because he had a compromiso but we called him last night and set a cita to pass by. De la nada he tells us, ̈Dont forget to bring me a Book of Mormon. I bought a pair of glasses so I can read it! ̈ How awesome is that!...He bought a pair of glasses so that he could read the Book of Mormon. This work is so amazing President. Elder Candia and I are doing great. He is a very loving and forgiving person. I am having a lot of fun with him. As for me, Im doing great. I want to finish my mission with the fire of the work burning in my heart and with a strong relationship with Jesus Christ. Even though it is a temptation in the last few months or weeks of the mission, there is no time to be trunky. I love the mision so much. I love my Savior and want to know Him better. I want to defend His name in all that do, say, or think. I will forever be greatful for these two years the Lord has given me. Hurrah, Hurrah, Hurrah for Israel! Thank you so much President. I love you and Hna Lovell. Have a great week.

Good things happen!!!

Dear Familia,

I love yall like crazy! Im just going to dive right in with all the miracles if yall dont mind.

First off the two investigadores that i had told yall about ; gama and Daniel, both came to church this last sunday. It was awesome. One of the craziest things that happened this week was (this is for you aunt Hieders) when Gama told my comp and I that he was in prision for 10 years because he was a bank robber and is a master in opening safes...I couldnt believe it! But the good news is that he doest do that anymore and wants to change his life and follow Christ. But it was a great sunday to have them both in church this past sunday!

Another cool miracle happened with an investigator named Chadi. Chadi comes from a Jewish family and has been listening to the missionaries for a few months now. She is affriad to becomce a member of the church because of her family tradition. We have been praying a lot to find the way to help her have the strength do accept the gospel fully in her life. Last night we past by her house and she wasnt there. BUT, we had the chance to talk with her parents. As we started to talk with her parents she showed up and listened to the whole conversation. We talked manly with her father. We came to find out that he has read the whole Book of Mormon and Pearl of Great Price a few years ago because he found it. He is very open and it was the first time he had talked to missionaries before. The blessing of it all was that Heavenly Father put us in the right place at the right time and helped us say the right things so that Chadi can be helped in her progress. Elder Candia and I had been praying and fasting for a miracle with her for about two weeks and the Lord gave us the answer in a way we had never planned. Heavenly Father listens and loves us. The answers may not come all at once or in the time we want them to come, but they always come.

I love you all so much. Have a great week.

Dear Presidente,
Was this a great week or what!? I am so pumped for all that is happening right now. The zone is doing great. After the capacitaion de zona and after having talked about the 55 baptisms the zone has put more fechas. Not only that but there is more faith to see miracles and a faith to help investigadores that are at the point to make the dicision to follow Christ. We had a reunion with our district leaders and together we talked about the doctrin then all together did the calender for the next 4 weeks. We are working on having a baptism every week in the zone. What I loved most of all was the faith of our district lideres in comprometerse the that goal. Our area here in Cipo is incredible. Last week a mentioned two investigadores, Gama and Daniel. The are both miracles! They both came to church this past sunday and are working on dejando de tomar. Great things are in the works. Elder Candia and I are doing great. Everyday Im learning how to use better Inspired Questions in the lessons with him. He is a pro with inspired questions. Its a blessing because the transfer before this one I was thinking a lot about inspired questions and how I could be better. As for me, Im doing great. Im trying to keep my mind focused and enjoy every moment that I have. Im trying to memorize more scriptures to keep my mind on point. Im having fun! The mission is fun. Teaching and feeling the spirit is fun. Sometimes the tests can be hard but I know that if there is a test it is only because a blessing is on its way; you just got to keep going. The purpose of the mission is to INVITE OTHERS TO COME UNTO CHRIST. I was thinking the other day and that is not only the purpose of the mission but also the purpose of life. I am so greatful for the gospel. I am great for what I have learned and what I am learning. The 2 years have had the biggest impact on my life and have changed me for the better. Thank you for everything. Have a great week.

VOS PODÉS DECIR MILAGROS....

Dear Familia,
So im in my new area with my new comp. My area is Cipolletti and my comp is Elder Candia from Concepcion Chile. This area is incredible! The ward is the biggest ward I have been in in my entire mission. I had the chance to give my testimony the Sacrament Meeting and I almost fell over in astonishment see how many members there were. Good stuff! Elder Candia is to darn funny. He is always happy which makes everyday fun. We are working and seeing so many blessings from the Lord.
I wanted to share some of the miracles that we have seen just in this week. First is Gamaliel. Gamaliel is one of our investigadores that is preparing himself to be bapitzed. we met him for the first time this week because the sister missionaries met him first and told us to pass by. As we talked with Gamaliel we learned that he only has 3 to 12 months to live becuasee of the cancer he has. We invited him to follow Jesus Christ and prepare himself to be baptized and he said after more than 50 years of life he has a lot of burdons he wants to get rid of and accepted the invitation. The Second miracle was when Elder Candia and I went to the house of a less active and part member family. the husband is less active and the wife has never really wanted to hear from the missionaries. While in the house we started to talk about the importance of the family and Heavenly Fathers plan for us which invited the spirit in our conversation. Then, out of no where, the husband said ¨i want you to teach my daughter¨, who also is not a member. Then he began to tell us that we would teach his daughter and that while we taught her, him and wife would listen so that they could also learn. MILAGROS!!!! The third miracle happened as Elder Candia and I were contacting and looking for people to teach and all of a sudden a man called us over. As we walked over Elder Candia said ¨this is either going to be really good or really bad¨ (he said it in spanish of course jaja). Good news!!!!....It turned out to be really good! This man began to tell us about his life and that he has never been able to find true peace or happiness and that he new and felt that we could help him. we shared a little of our purpose and then we came to find out he has some friends that are members of the church and told us that he knows what we teach is true. Elder Candia and I couldnt believe and still cant believe and these miracles. Heavenly Father is preparing the way. He is hastening His work daily. I know this work is true. I dont know what I have done to receive these blessings but I am so greatful. I dont know why I was so blessed to have received this gospel early in my life by I am eternaly greatful.
I know this church is true. I love my Savior so very much and I testify of His power and authority. I testify His love and goodness. Oh how great it is to know that Jesus Christ loves us all so much.
Have a great week! I love you all

Dear Presidente,
The missionaries in this zone are incredible. Ive never been a zone lider in a zone that has 3 district leaders so Im excited colaborar with them and see the vision they have for their districts. In the zone we are trying to work on putting more fechas bautismales. It seems that with these changes we, as a zone, have lost a little of our balance in teaching with members, less actives, asking for references, and all the other key points. Not that we need to rendir cuentas al Señor we need to plan well and have a lot of self control to keep advancing doing all the little things we need to do. I pray that we a zone can continue to find exito and joy with these changes and not become complacent. My area here in Cipo is incredible. Bueno, Cipolletti is amazing. There are people everywhere to talk to. There is always people in the streets or sitting outside their houses just waiting to receive the gospel. This is like my paradise! Not only that, but the ward is huge! I havent seen a ward this big in my whole mission. Seeing so many members just gets me pumped! I love the gospel! Elder Candia and I are doing great. I dont think Ive ever met anyone as happy as he is. He always has a smile and has a fire in his heart for this work. We have seen so many miracles this last week. The first was a ref from the Hnas named Gama. He is an older man that has 3 to 12 months left of life due to cancer. He accepted a baptismal date and said he wants to dejar su cargas. The second was a less active part member family that we taught. We started to share a little of our purpose in help them be united as a family when de la nada the Hno miembro said, ̈I want you to give the charlas to my daughter so that she can be baptized ̈. Then he began to say that he and his none member wife would listen to the charlas while we teach their daughter. MILAGROS! The third was when Elder Candia and I were contacting a man called us over and began to tell us that he wanted to change his life. He said that he want to find peace and happiness and that he knows what we teach to be true. Elder Candia and I after every one of these miracles wanted to fall over from shock and joy. All I can say is that this work is true and the Lord is preparing the way. As for me, Im doing great. How could I not be doing great with all this blessings happening. I love my Savior so much. I am thankful for the sacrifices of so many so that I can have this gospel in my life. Thank you for everything. Have a great week.

Weekly Letter - 23 Feb 2015

Dear Presidente,
This week was great! We had two baptisms in the zone; Gonzalo de the Hna Lideres and Alan de nosotros. They both received the Aaronic Priesthood after sacrament meeting. So great! I love this zone and all of the missionaries here. They are going to do big things. Elder Parke is a good missionary who listens to the Spirit so Im not the least bit worried. Our area is doing good. We have an investigador named Miguel that is progressing and I hope he will be getting baptized in the next few weeks. The members are excited and are helping the recent converts progress. Miriam, one of our recent converts here is planning on going to the temple in July. Im so pumped! Elder Parke and I are doing awesome. Its sad we only got one transfer together but Im happy to have learned a lot from him. Im excited to see what he will do here in the zone with el Elder Alonzo. As for me, Im doing great. The fourth quarter of the partido has ended and we are heading into overtime. I have six weeks to lay it all on the field. Six weeks of work and miracles. I know this work is true and I am so thankful to be here still. Im learning a lot with all these new changes. Im trying to pray and think about how to work more effecently with the changes so that I can help the missionaries in my zone. The Spirit is here to guide us all. Thank you so much for everything. Have a great week.

I am so grateful for you. I love you with all my heart for your love of the Lord and for your commitment to serve him. Thank you for being an example to me that I want to follow.

Last 6 weeks

Dear Familia,

we just had transfers and Im headed to my new area. Its called Cipoletti. This is mylast transfer in the mission so I only have 6 weeks left. My new companion is named Elder Candia. He is from Chile and we have crossed paths in the mission a few times. He is pretty darn funny jaja. Im excited for this transfer. Im going to miss Plaza Huincul, the missionaries and members. Im also going to miss Elder Parke...hes a freakin stud muffin!

This past week one of our investigadores, Alan, was baptized. It was awesome! His baptism has helped his family have more interes in the church and for thos that are members, come back to church. He is 12 years old and want to go on a mission one day. I love it!

Sunday, I got food poisening for the second week in a row....I woke up and literally couldnt believe it. I said to myself ¨You got to be kidding me¨ I made it through the day alive but Ive only eaten like two bananas in the last two days jaja.

Shout out to my brudda, Elder Zachary Nobmann Riddle, who is in the mission field in mexico. You are such a stud. Le quiero mucho y sé que va a aprovechar cada momento de su mision. Me da orgullo ser su hermano. Usted y Jackie Boss son mis mejores amigos!

Like I said, Im in my last transfer so naturally comes the temptation to get a little lazy and think about home. But Im trying to work hard like it were my first few transfers. My body may not have all the energy in the world like before but Heavely Father gives me the strength I need every day. He is a Father and He loves us. I know it and want others to know it. We can pray and ask Him for His help. We can pray and just talk with Him. There are no limits in life when we put our lives in the Lords hands.

I love you all so much. Have a great week!

Hey y'all

Dear Family,

This letter isnt going to be too long but I love you. Yesterday I was throwing up just about all day. I got food poisening and it was not fun. It was the 3rd time in my whole mission that I have been sick like that jaja.

Things are going great here in my area. Elder Parke and I are having fun and trying to teach a lot.

I just want to share my testimony with all of you. I know that this church is true! I know that Joseph Smith saw God the father and His son, Jesus Christ. I know that through the power of God he translated the Book of Mormon. I know that if we accept the invitation given to us in James 1:5 and ask of God the questions of our hearts, the truth of all things will be revealed unto us. I believe in prayer and I know it is true. Our Father is always listening and wants to help us. One single prayer from a 14 year old boy changed the world forever. The perfect time to pray is when we dont want to pray.

Dear Presidente,
This was a pretty darn good week. The misioneras de Plaza C had a baptism! Eva has been an investigator for some time now so it was great to see her get baptized. The zone as a whole is doing great things. In the next few weeks I think we are going to see more baptisms in Cutral Co. You already have talked to Elder Mark and Elder Aleman and know what has been happening, but I just wanted to let you know know that Elder Parke and I arent proud of what they did but are proud that they chose to call you without us saying anything. They are good Elderes. The area of Elder Parke and I is doing great! Our investigators are progressing and the members are helping. Im not going to lie, sometimes it is hard to stay focused and have a good balance without the numbers but I will say it is helping pray more often, which is a good thing. Planning is ten times more important now that we don't have the numbers. Elder Parke and I are doing great! He is a trooper. I was sick all yesterday and he helped me out a lot! Not only that, but we are working hard together. I love it when you get a good rhythm and you can just go. As for me, Im doing so much better than yesterday. Yesterday I felt horrible and was in bed all day. My body hurt, I felt like someone was stabbing me in my stomach and I was sweating not stop. As I felt all this for some reason I kept thinking about Jesus Christ. As I thought about all the pain I was feeling and how horrible it was, my mind always went back to think, ̈He suffered so much more ̈. Jesus Christ suffered for all of our pains, sicknesses, and sins. How is that even possible!? I felt ready to give up with just a little food poisoning. ̈Why me, why now ̈ passed through my head on various occasions but I dont know Jesus Christ was ever thinking about that. I am really and truly greatful for my Savior Jesus Christ. I am so greatful for His sacrifice. I know that He lives and I am thankful to wear His name 24/7. Thank you for everything. Have a great week.
P.S. I dont know why but the BYU website says that I still need an endorsement. I re did the endorsement form and sent it to you. I hope this time it works.

Mis queridos

Dear Family,
This week went by so fast because there was so much to do. Elder Parke and I had to go to a training by Pres Lovell and then give two trainings to our zone. Which ment we had to travel a lot. Even though at some points we got really tired, we just kept going. One of my companions always said that there is nothing better than some good old fashion work! Its so true jaja. Here is a cool story for yall:
Elder Parke and I are seeing so many miracles it is incredible! Elder Parke and I saw a miracle with our investigador Miguel. We had planned on teaching him the word of wisdom for about a week but everytime we went over something got in the way. It was as if the adversary didnt want us to teach that lesson. Saturday we had an apointment with him but he wasnt there. We called but he didnt answer. So we went on our way teaching others and looking for more people. At the closing of the day we decided to pass by one more time. But on our way over we felt it would help if we offered a prayer. So we stopped on the corner of the street and Elder Parke offered a prayer asking Heavenly Father to give us the chance to teach Miguel the word of wisdom and that if He would give us this opportunity we would take advantage of every moment of the lesson. As we arrived at the house, we saw that Miguel was home. We taught him the word of wisdom and he accepted it without hesitation. He said that he knew he was loosing blessings for not living the word of wisdom. It was a miracle!
I love the mission. I love the mission with all my heart. I love that in the past few years Heavenly Father has changed my life forever. There is nothing greater than the mission. Before leaving on the mission Uncle Beau told me, ¨there is not a day that goes by that something I see remind me of the mission¨. I can understand why. These are the greatest 2 years that anyone could ever receive. I love going out every morning talking with people about the gospel. I love this message so much. I love it because I know its true. I keep knocking doors even when Im tired because I know this message is true. I keep on walking when my body says no because I know this church is true. I will keep going and going here in the mission until my time is up because I know this gospel is true. Sometimes we need to ask ourselves,  ¨If I know this gospel to be true, what am I willing to do?¨ The Spirit will guide us as we try to answer that.
I love you all so much. I testify that Jesus Christ lives and that His church has been restored. The Book of Mormon is a true book that with draw a man closer to God more than any other book on the face of the Earth. Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and he was called to restore the church of Jesus Christ.
I hope you all have a great week! :)

Weekly Letter - 09 Feb 2015

Dear Presidente,
This week flew right on by! That always happens when we have consejo and capacitaiones. Things in the zone are going great. The Hnas Miller and Bailey had a baptism last week. The baptism isnt a convert baptism because the girl is 8 years old but they have been working with that less active family for quite some time. It was a big blessing for them. Not only that but Elder Stoddard was asked to efectuar the baptism. It was his first baptism and he was so excited! Elder Parke and I were excited for him. Our area here in Plaza is doing great. Elder Parke and I saw a miracle with our investigador Miguel. We had planned on teaching him the word of wisdom for about a week but everytime we went over something got in the way. It was as if the adversary didnt want us to teach that lesson. Saturday we had a cita with him but he wasnt there. We called but didnt answer. So we went on our way teaching others and looking for more people. At the closing of the night we decided to pass by one more time. But on our way over we felt it would help if we offered a prayer. So we stopped en la esquina and Elder Parke offered a prayer asking Heavenly Father to give us the chance to teach Miguel the word of wisdom and that if He would give us this opportunity we would aprovechar every moment of the lesson. As we showed up at the house, we saw that Miguel was home. We taught him the word of wisdom and he acepted it without hesitation. He said that he knew he was loosing blessings for no cumplirla. It was a miracle. Elder Parke and I are doing great. Just want you to know that he didnt do anything wrong en cuanto a la flia that came here from NQ. He handled the situation like a stud and told them that we are representatives of Jesus Christ and that they cannot come and visit him. He ́s a great Elder! As for me, Im doing good. Ive been thinking a lot about how we can help the zone have exito and what Ive decided is that I need to pray more. Heavenly Father has the answers to my questions. All will be well in Sion. The work of the Lord no puede ser frustrado sino the work of man. I really love being a missionary. It has changed me. I want to share the gospel forever and Im thankful that I can. Thank you for eveything. Have a great week!

Obedience

Dear Familia,

First off, I want to throw a shout to one of the best looking men there is. Justin TWO CHAINS Agee. Happy late birthday. I hope that you past it well. Te quiero jaja1DF.gif
Everything is going great here in the mission. Elder Parke and I are having a lot of fun and seeing a ton of miracles. One of our investigadores, Miguel, got us so pumped on sunday. We called him about 5 times to see if he was going to come to church
but he never answered...his phone was shut off. But, right before the rsacrament meeting he walks through the door. Elder Parke and I got pumped! It was a miracle! When he got there he told us that he had to come because it is where he belongs. He is a great man that really wants to change his life and the life of his family.

I have been thinking about the frase ¨Choose the right¨ lately ( Haz lo justo). Sometimes it is really easy to forget what this implies. It is an invitation to be obedient the commandments of our Father in Heaven. The first and most important commandment is to love God with all our heart, might, and mind. That is the first and most importand comandment because if we truely love our Father in Heaven we will keep his commandments. I want to share my testimony that as we obey with exactness and love we will be blessed in so many ways. We will see the windows of Heaven open and the blessings will pour down. Heavenly Father loves all of us, but He confides in those that are obedient.

I love all so much. Im loving every day that I have a missionary. Its the 4th quarter....LEAVE IT ALL ON THE FIELD!!!! The is the work of the Lord. There are miracles. I know that Jesus Christ lives and suffered for my sins.

Dear Presidente Lovell,
Things here in the gran zona Plaza Huincul are going great. Hna Silva and Llamo had a baptism and Elder Gomez and Rothey. We are starting week 4 in the zone and I can note a difference. I dont know how to explain it but things are going good here. Last week we had a reunion with the Hnas lideres and the Elder Ashwoth and Staddord to make plans to help the zone. In the area of Elder Parke and I milagros are coming down like a waterfall! We had one investigador, Miguel, that showed up at church with out us having to pass by his house ni nada. His cell was shut off so we couldnt even call him. We told him after how happy we were to see him show up because we werent sure if he was going to come. He said that he had to come because this is where he belongs. SO AWESOME! Elder Parke and I are doing great! I dont think he will ever know how much he is helping me. I love his animo and his desire to do what is right. He is a great example of loving others. Are lessions are so darn fun. We are teaching without fear and with love. Oh how great is the mision!! As for me, Im doing great! I signed the paper I received about finishing to the end. I commit myself to give everything I have and work until Im released  I commit to end the mission with the mira puesta únicamente en la gloria de Dios. The Lord has taught me so much these past couple years in the mision and this is still a lot to be done. Im excited to be here and I love these changes in the mission. Big things are happening. Im pumped! Hurrah, Hurrah, Hurrah por Israel!!!! Thank you for everything  Have a great week.

Thank you for your letter and for your great faith and confidence in the Lord. This comes from having put it to the test and then listening to what he has to say and watching how he blesses you. I am so greatful for you. Your faith brings tears of gratitude to my eyes. May the Lord continue to watch over you and keep you safe.

Good ol' Faith

Dear Family,

The work is going great! This past week has been so darn busy but I love it! It is still really hot here but I like it. Im sweaty just about every min of the day but its a blessing in disguise; it is going to help me lose some weight jaja.

So this week Elder Parke and I did a service project for a member of the church here. we had to move a pile of sand to the back of his house. Then we had to move 50 kilo, which is over 100 pounds, bags of concrete to the back of his house. It was so much fun. I was power cleaning them bags onto my shoulders. It was like being in the gym again jaja. Yall can already imagen that with the heat I was sweating like crazy. Im still a little sore but jaja. Elder Parke and I have been focusing a lot on serving others and we are noticing the difference for doing it. Service brings miracles.

We had a miracle this past week. One of our investigatores, Miguel, was going to come to church this past week but when a member passed by for his house to take him, he was still asleep. But the miracle is that another member, a childhood friend of Miguel, had just come back from living in Peru and heard that Miguel was listening to the missionaries. So he passed by the house of Miguel and woke him up and brought him to church without out us even telling the member to do that. In fact, I had never even met this member becuase he got here this week from Peru. It was amazing. Not only that, but Miguel was so happy that to be at church. As a sister started to play the prelude music as we started Sacrament Meeting I was so grateful for the help of my Heavnely Father and the miracle that had just happened that I had peaceful feeling and held back the tears.

There was one point when we didnt think Miguel was going to come to the church. I was sitting in one of the classes before sacrament meeting (because in this ward we do the classes first) thinking, ¨should i give up home?¨ , ¨should i accept that he is not going to come?¨ and then a quick response came to my mind ¨NO! Keep your faith strong¨. And after that still didnt know what was going to happen but I had faith that a miracle was going to happen. Then out of no where shows up Miguel! Heavenly Father always has a plan but tests our faith so that we can grow.

I hope you all have a great week. Les quiero mucho!

Dear Presidente,
This has been a great week! The miracles just keep piling on. The zone is working hard and we are talking a lot about the consecration. I love this whole tema about the consecration. Elder Parke and I have been talking a lot about how we can consecrate ourselves and help our district lideres do the same so that they can help their districts do the same. Elder Gomez and Ashworth are doing a great job over here. The area of Elder Parke and I is being prepared by the spirit. We are finding people that have desires to change their lives and like I mentioned last week, the people are feeling and recognizing the Holy Spirit. We had a miracle with one of our inv named Miguel. Miguel went to church last week and we had planned for him to come this week too. We had set everything up so that a member would pass by and take him to church. But what happened was he se quedó sleeping and didnt come. It was a little disappointing. Just as we were about to start Sacrament Meeting in walks in Miguel. It was a miracle. What had happened is a member, return missionary, went by his house and woke him up saying ̈you got to come to church ̈; they are childhood friends. It was the first time we had ever met this member because he had been living in Peru but had just come back to live here this week. While in Peru he heard that Miguel was listening to the missionaries and the first thing he did when he got back to Plaza Huincul is go see him. It was a miracle!! Elder Parke and I are doing great. The days are passing by to fast and we are having fun teaching the people. We are working hard on consecrating ourselves and are seeing the blessing for doing so. As for me, Im doing great! Im so happy to be here in the mission. I am thankful for the miracles, big and small, that are happening. The spirit is real and he is guiding us more than ever and we are trying to consecrate ourselves. There is such a gran difference. This past sunday as I sat in principios del evangelio and miguel still hadnt shown up at church the thought came to my mind, I can give up home that Miguel will come to church or just keep on believe. I decided to keep on believing. So when I saw Miguel walk in all I was amazed at how gran was that miracle. This is the true church and miracles do exist. Thank you for everything. Have a great week.

what a great week!

Dear familia,

Como han estado? How have yall been? I hope the reply is ¨good¨ jaja. If not, things will get better:)

So we had transfers this past week and  I got my new companion. Elder Agee completed his two years and is at home now. Mom and dad, yall should look him up on facebook. His name is Justin Agee. Hes a stud! jaja My new comps name is Elder Parke from Santa Cruz California. He used to live in Bainbridge, Washington when he was younger which is pretty cool. He has about a little over a year in the mission. Jajaja he makes me feel old in the mission because he still has about a year left and I just have a couple months. But its all good. He is a stud!! He is a swimmer and swam a little in college before coming out on the mission. We have only had one week together but we are working our tails off and seeing a ton miracles. He is a great example of serving the Lord. Just two months ago his dad passed away but he is still here in the mission going strong. And when I say he is going strong its not an exaggeration. He works hard and teaches with the spirit. I fill lucky to have him as a companion and to be able to learn from him. If you want to throw the Parke family in your prayers Im sure they wouldnt mind.

So the mission here in Neuquen is changing a lot. Whoever, all these changes are for the better. Elder Parke and I are teaching a lot of great people and having great experiences. On Saturday we were looking for people to teach and passed by a house and saw some a family digging a whole outside their house and we stopped and helped them. After helping we taught them about Jesus Christ and that becaused he died for us we can all be baptized and be cleansed of our sins. The mom said that it was too good to be true and before invited her and her family to church she asked if they could come to church with us. We were like OF COURSE!! They couldnt make it to church yesterday but it was still a huge miracle and we have an appointment to go back.

Another cool experience was Elder Parke and I passed by for a less active family where the husband of the family is alcoholic and hits his wife. It is a sad situation. But the last few days I have had that family in my mind and wanted to pass by and see how the wife was doing. Last night we were going to go visit a family but desiced to change plans and go see that family. We went to their house with a member, Hno Walter, and the wife came out to talk with us. She didnt want to let us in without her husband being home which we understood. But we talked with her a little outside to see how she was and to let her know we were thinking about her. That little visit outside may not have solved her situation but I could see her face lit up as we talked to her. We all just need to know someone is thinking of us at times.

I love the mission so much! Thank you all for your prayers. I have a little invitation for everyone....if there is someone that has been coming to your mind in the last few days that you feel like you should call or visit, it would be good to follow those promptings. As you do so I promise the results will be worth it :)

Have a great week!

Dear Presidente,
I am just so darn excited to see what this zone can do! We have some good missionaries
here. Everyone is adjusting to the new changes and Elder Parke and I are trying to make it a smooth and good transition. Everyone is focusing more on helping their in investigators get to church which I think is getting to bring great results. Our area is doing great. This past week I cant begin to count how many miracles we saw. We literally taught all day every day. We taught so much. Not only that but the spirit was testifying to the people we were teaching. We also have been finding a lot of people to teach. We are teaching part member families and
new families but what is great is that we are teaching families. I have seen a incredible change in our area this last week. I think its a combination of the changes in the mission, consecration, and going out to work but it is evident more than ever that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ are hastening the work! Elder Parke and I are doing great. He has a little over a year in the mission and the first thing I thought was ̈man, Im old in the mission ̈. Time sure does fly. We have only had a week together but I can already see that he is going to help this zone a lot.
He is a great leader and teaches with a lot of love and patience. It is fun to be his companion and feel the spirit together as we teach. As for me, Im doing great. I am so happy to have my new companion and to be part of this zone. I feel so lucky to still have time left in the mission to be able to participate in these new changes. A lot of things are changing; I can see it and feel it. The spirit is guiding us during our days and is testifying in our lessions. I feel that Im loving the people more as Im not focused on numbers. Elder Parke and I were talking yesterday that we feel like missionaries of the Book of Mormon times. We are are using the herramientas that we have learned in the past year or two and going out and teaching by the spirit. I am excited to see what happens in the next few months. Thank you for everything. Have a great week!

Have a great week of fun. I made a video for you but it is too big to send which is sad but all good.

So this week was pretty good. im still in the same area and we are fighting stong. we were going to have a baptism this week but the area split and sisters came into the area. My comp and I felt the spirit that we needed to give the family we were teaching to the sisters but its all good because we know we will be blessed becasue we are doing what the spirit told us to do :) Oh i put a pic of the family with whom we passed news years. if you look at the picture the little girl in front threw up two middle fingers....not good but its funny haha. the other pic is some of what we ate that night....so good. So right now it seems like the mission is going by way to fast. today is my 10 month mark and it is crazy. I love the mision so much. I have seen a lot of miracles. This past sunday a family we are teaching came to church and are ready to baptize there 2 daughters. It was such a great mircale becasue the mom is a member but has activated heself after 10 years without the church. I just want yall to know that there are so many miracles. even the test we have are mirclaes beacuse they come from God to help us. Have a great week.

Hey y'all

Dear Family,

The week went by fast and there was a lot to do! We had a meeting with all the zone lideres, then two capcitations for diferent parts of the zone. Not only that but my comp Elder Agee had to get ready to go back to the states because his two years are up. There has been a lot to do but it has been great. We have a lot of changes in the mision and Im so excited.

Something we have been talking is becoming consecrated missionaries. A consecrated missionary leaves it all on the altar and works until the last second. It is a missionary who is always looking for thehelp of the Lord and trying live according to what He wants. It is a missionary who is not obedient because he has to be but because he wants to be. He understands the blessings that cn be recieved and has a desire to do more. There are many good missionaries in the world but less consecrated missionaries. As we consecrate ourselves in the mision we are promised the companionship of the Holy Spirit at all times and in all places. We are able to truely find a greater joy in life and in our work. We will be able to testify with power. We will be protected from harm. We will be able to be intruments in the hands of the Lord. I have been given 2 years to consecrate myself unto the Lord. This not my time, it is His. He is almighty, all knowing, and has a love so great for each and every one of us. As missionaries we can show our love for our Heavenly Father as we enter this path of personal consecration. The world is getting worse and worse. What the Lord needs is not only good missionaries, but missionaries that are consecrated.

Just like the desire that Heavenly Father has to have more consecrated missionaries, he has a great desire to have consecrated children, consecrated members of the church. There is no better time than to start the process of personal purification and santification so that we can become consecrated children of our Father. So that we may be examples of the believers in these last days. May we all strenthen our own lights so that we guide others in the darkness.

I love you all so much. Have a great week.

Dear Presidente Lovell,
This week just flew right on by. I cant believe that Elder Agee is on his way home right now. I am very greatful for my time with him and Im going to miss him. The zone is doing great. We had two baptisms this past week. One in Rincon and one in Aeropuerto. Elder Justiniano and Bezerra lograron the standard which is great. This is an exciting time for the zone seeing that we have a lot of changes and have to depend on the Lord more than even. I think we are going to be able to do well in our zone with these changes. Im not 100 percent sure what is going to happen but Im excited to get to talking with Elder Parke. This next few months are going to be fun. Our area is doing amazing. Our recent converts, Miriam and Kevin are reading the Book of Mormon everyday and going to all of the activities. They are a couple of capos! Elder Agee and I had a good few months together and Im excited to keep the work going to make him proud. As for me, Im very happy. I learned so many things from Elder Agee. I feel that Im better prepared for these changes for having him as a companion. I want to be a consegracrated misionary. I want to get to that point and help those around me to do the same. I want to do the Lords will and Im thinking of things that I can do better to get there. I have already seen little miracles for the little changes I have made and it makes me so much excited to keep on with this consecration. Thank you for everything. The mission is taking off just like you said. Have a great week.

2015

Hey Family,

First off, happy new years!!! lets goooo 2015.

This past week was great! Miriam and Kevin, two of our investigadores got baptized this past week. This little family is amazing. Miriam has had a great change in her life and not only that but Kevin is already sharing the gospel with his friends and family that arent members...he is only 9. We have been teaching them for about a month now and I have never seen a family so prepared to receive the gospel. Im so pumped for them right now. the next step is the temple :)

Im doing great here in my area. We have one week left in this transfer and then my comp Elder Agee ends the mission and goes back home to virginia. So i should be in this are another month and a half which is all fine and dandy with me. I love this area! Time is flying by way to fast but I had some cool experiences this past week. There is no time to explain but basically I just want to let yall know the power of the Book of Mormon. It is a true book from God. It has power. The pfophets have testified that if we want more blessings and happiness in our life, we will make the affert to read the Book of Mormon every day. I can testify that this is true. I love the Book of Mormon.

Today i read Helaman 3 and there was a couple of things that stuck out to me. One thing was that it said in verse 20 that Helaman was righteous so he prospered in the land. It is so true. If we want to prosper in the land we need to be righteous in all things. It is the key to success.

Well, I love you all so much. Dont forget that Heavenly Father loves you all too. Have a great week.

Dear Presidente,
This week was great! It was filled with miracles and fun times. The zone is doing great. These past couple weeks have made it a little different with all the fiestas but the zone has done a great job at getting focused when its time to get down to work. Just about every companionship in the zone has a fecha. My area is doing more than great. I believe I mentioned it in the past but we are helping the Pres of the elderes quarum and we are seeing a big difference in him and in his quarum. Not only that, but the Bishop is excited and has a lot of great ideas. Things are on the role here. It doesnt stop there. I dont know why but Heavenly Father is blessing us with the chance to find and teach great people. There are so many people here that are prepared to hear the gospel. Elder Agee and I are doing good. Its hard to believe that these 3 months have already flown by. I still remember when Elder Agee and I got here from Atlanta together and now he is on his way home. I am excited for this last week we have together. He has worked hard in this zone. He ́s a stud. As for me, I am doing great. I am finding an even great love for the Book of Mormon. I love the spirit that I can feel as I do my studies. I had a cool experience this past week. I try to read the Book of Mormon everyday in my studies and last week on lunes I wasnt able to read any. I felt horrible the whole day and didnt know why. Then we went to a cita that we had. Aswe taught a scripture came to my mind so I reached down for my Book of Mormon. When I only tauched it I could start to feel the spirit. Then, as our in investigador read a verse in Alma I felt a peace that I was missing all day. I said to myself ̈hay esta, eso es lo que necesitaba ̈. I found what was missing, and it was the Book of Mormon in my day. I testify that the Book of Mormon is a true book. I know it and I love it. Readying the BOM daily is a habit I never want to lose. It literally is armadura. How how preciosas son las cosas que se aprenden en la mision. Thank you for everything. Have a great week.
