hola familia,
life down here in the motherland is good. elder yanez and i have been working our tails off. weve been teaching a man named segundo who is like 65 and has attended church about five times. he has a date and we have been working with him to quite drinking. he has gone about to weeks without drinking and even made his daughter cry because she heard him pray for the first time. but in the middle of this week he drank. it was one of the saddest things because i felt like i couldnt do anything. we came by his house three days in a row and each day he was drunk. elder y and i fasted for help and for all of our investigators especailly segundo. sunday we went to his house at about 9 am before church and he wasnt drunk so he came to church with is. later we taught him a lesson and he still wants to be baptised and stop drinking but he needs help. elder y and i were so happy that he still wants to stop. i love miracles. oh, crazy story. elder y and i talked to a guy who was drunk in the streets and he asked us to pray for him becasue the day before he had stabbed someone. right after he told us that he lifted up his shirt to show us a knife with the blade wrapped in news paper in the front of his sweat pants haha. this past week has been super windy. you all have no idea how windy. i feel like im in a sand storm in the middle east haha. elder y and i walk down the street like we are drunk because we cant walk strait. sometimes we are stopped dead in our tracks. oh, so all the people here think im like 23-27 years old. one kid told me he thought i was 32..... i was like you got to be kidding me haha. everything is great down here. the language is still coming. i still cant understand everything everyone is saying but im trying to have patience. i love you all and hope all is well. shout out to the dream team. let me know what all of your plans are with school, sports, and life:)
