Happy New Year

Dear Family,

It was great to talk with you this past week. You all look great! Zach, Im so excited to hear about all of your experiences in the mission. These next two years will be filled with great stories and adventures. These two years have been the best two of my life. I seen so many changes in the lives of the people I have met. I have seen so many miracles walking in the streets. I have seen families come together and people have hope for the future. But one of the things that I have seen is the changed that has taken place in me. My mission has changed my life forever. I will never forget the word of Uncle Beau when he told me ¨not a day goes by that something doesnt remind of my mission¨. It just goes to show the impact that these two years can have on our lives. Elder Holland once said ¨every good descicion that I have made is a result of my mision¨. I love my two years. They have been the best two years for me. And what gets me pumped is that I still have time left!:)

The gospel is true. Change is possible. That is what Jesus Christ did for us. He made change possible. He made it so that we can become better, happier, more patient, loving, etc. As we head towards the year 2015 let us always have our Savior, Jesus Christ, present in our thoughts.

I love you all greatly and hope all is well. Have a great week!

Weekly Letter - 29 Dic 2014

Dear Presidente,
This past week was a wild one. We went up to Rincon to see how they were doing and to give them the shirts of the Dadiva that we did. The shirts turned out great! We also had an activity in the plaza of cutral co with a projector and una pantalla gigante. Elder Agee and I werent able to be there because we were in Rincon but the elders and Hnas said that it was great. They were all there for about an hour passing out tarjetas and showing the Dadiva video. They received about 30 Ref from that activity. The zone is doing great. This past week was hard to keep our mind on the prize at times with all the fiestas going on but we were able to see some great things. Not only that, but I think we are better prepared to go into this week seeing that it will be similar to last week. Our area is doing great! We are working a lot with the Obispo and Pres. del Quarum de los Elderes. We have seen big changes in the ward and in the work. The members are excited and we are too. We are finding, teaching, and inviting. Great things are in works. Elder Agee and I are doing great. We are trying to end these last two weeks great. We have a couple investigadores that could get baptized and we are planning on how we can help them. Something that I love about Elder Agee is that he has no fear. He has no fear to teach, to testify, or to be a missionary. It gets me pumped! As for me, Im so pumped for the mission. I had the chance to talk to my brother who is going on his mission to Mexico in two weeks. I told him how jealous I was that he has to years to be a missionary and I only have a couple months. Words cannot explain how I feel about my mission but I am eternally greatful
to be here. I love contacting, teaching, walking in the street knocking doors sweating because its so hot. I love looking down at my feet and seeing the wear and tear on my shoes. I love testifying of the Book of Mormon. All in all, I just love the mission. There is nothing greater. Thank you for your help and for everything you do. Have a great week.
Question: Do you know how to apply for a job in the MTC?

Merry Christmas

Hey family,

So I just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and share with you all my testimony.

This time of the year, no matter where we are at in the world, is a time to think of the family, help others, and think of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

We have all been blessed with great families. The family is the unity most special that there is on earth. I know that we have all been blessed with families so that we can learn and grow together. I know that families can live together forever after this life.

I know that we have all been blessed with gifts and talents. I have learned that as we use thos gifts to help others we are able to find great joy and happiness. Not only that, but we can come to know our Savior even more.

I love my Savior so greatly. I am so greatfull for Him and that He suffered for me. Something that I learned is that Jesus Christ could have know all our needs by revelation but chose to suffer all of our sins and afflictions so that He could be closer to us. He really does love us. I testify that He lives!

I hope you all have a great week and I love you all so much!

Dear Presidente,
This week was a great one. This Navidad is helping all of us as a zone do big things and have more hope for the future. All of the companionships are doing well. We made shirts of the Davida that we are going to use while we play futbol on Pday. The area of Elder Agee and I is doing great. Lucas, our investigador, didnt get baptized this past week because his mom didn't want to sign the baptism form but its going to turn our well. Lucas is 14 and gets us pumped. He keeps telling us not to worry and that all will work out with his mom. I love his faith! It helps me be paciente and hopeful for the future. Elder Agee and I are doing great. He cracks me up. We are working hard and something that we love is that we are helping the leaders in the Barrio. We are learning ton and Im just pumped that we still have time to work together. As for me, Im doing great. Im excited to talk with my family. My brother is leaving for his mission in January. He is going to the Mexico City, East Mission. So this will be the last time we talk before he goes on his mission. My mission has changed my life and continues to change it. I am so excited for him to start this adventure in his life. I am greatful for the Book of Mormon and that by reading it, I have been able to know my Savior like never before. I know miracles exist. One of them is an investigadora that is going to be baptized next week. We met her and her son one saturday and invited them to church. They came to church for the first time about a month ago and since then she has not missed an activity or sunday in the church. I am greatful for the mission and the experiences that i am having. Thank you for everything you do and for your example. Have great week.

SANTA'S COMING

Dear Family,

Santa Clause is coming to town. Or should I say PAPA NOEL. Jaja thats Santa Clause in Argentina. It feels weird that its hot enough to bake an egg on the side walk and it christmas time. I still think of christmas as a time with snow and hot chocolate. But the area Im at has a lot of people that are putting up little trees in their houses and putting up lights which just about no one did in the area i was in for last christmas.

Things are going great! Lucas our investigador might get baptiszed this week. He is a beast! He found out that his aunt that lives in Buenos Aires is a member of the church and wants to take him to the temple when he goes and visits her. He goes to Buenos Aires in 2 weeks so if he gets baptized this week he will be able to go to the temple which is a big deal. he is very special and we are praying fervantly so that all will turn out well with him

I am very happy that I can be a missionary in this time of the Navidad. I am seeing so many great miracles and so many great things are happening but there just isnt enough time to share all of it and explain in detail. But one thing I know to be true is that all of these miracles that are happening is because Heavenly Father loves us all. The perfect example of his love his that he gave his son Jesus Christ so that we all may be saved. I know that He loves me and watches over me. I am thankful for my Savior Jesus Christ and that he suffered for all of my pains, imperfections and sins so that I can live with my family for all of eternity after we have left this life. There is a purpose to this life. There is a life after this one.

I hope that we can all come closer to Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ in this Christmas season. A path of a million steps starts with one, so we should probably get started jaja. I love you all greatly.

Have a great week!

Weekly Letter - 15 Dic 2014

Dear Presidente,
This Christmas season is like none other! Miracles are happening all around us. I think this last week may have been the best week that I have ever seen in the zone. The District lideres put great goals for their districts and we can see the results. Everyone is trying to us the Dadiva with the people they talk with, which is really healping. It is amazing that in this time of Christmas we get to think more of our Savior but even better that we have the chance to be His representatives. Our area is doing great! We saw a miracle with one one of our investigatores, Miriam. Miriam has come to church 3 times in a row now this past sunday, and on saturday we had planned on teaching the ley de castidad. She has had a boyfriend that lives with her for some time now so we werent sure how she would take it. But in the lesson, as we started, Elder Agee asked her if she prayed about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. She replied with a firm yes! Then something unexpected happened. Her eyes began to water up and she began to cry. She told us that she knows this is true and wants to keep going to church because she knows this is good for her. She also began to tell us that she left her boyfriend, who I forgot to mention was re contra menos activo, because she needs to progress in life. We testified that Heavenly Father would guide her as she put her life in his hands and she accepted to live the ley de castidad. All we have done with Miriam is teach her the doctrine and invite and Heavenly Father has prepared her heart. Elder Agee and I are doing great. We are dumbfounded at times as we see all these great things happening in the zone and our area. We are trying to use the Dadiva better in the zone and are looking into getting shirts made for everyone. As for me, Im doing great! This is such a great time in my life. I remember when I was in Dina Huapi I had a dream that I had finished my mission and I was at home in the car with my mom waiting to go see the Stake President. While in the car I saw a group of people walk by and started to cry because I couldnt go contact them. I will never forget that dream because it is true, the day will come when I no longer have my placa on and
I wont be in the streets teaching all day. It is sad to think that but at the same time it helps me work hard. I love the mission and am eternally greatful to be here. I want to be a missionary forever and the best part of the gospel is that I can be. Thank you so much for everything you do. Have a great week!

Best Time Ever

Dear Family,

For starters I got to throw our some shout outs to my first companion, my big little bro, my peanut butter to my jelly sandwich, my bench and squat spotter, my music in the car secret handshake, protein bar, suns out guns out, ham hockin, mirror gazing, sophmore homecoming prince, all state game MVP linebacker, studdly man child, Zach Riddle. I love you bro and hope you had a great birthday. 20 years old!!!! who would have thought that time would fly by so fast, right?

Dont think I could forget about my music makin, rib breaking, word inventing, music store stocking, papi, Sammy to the J Riddle! You have your birthday in 2 days! I love you like crazy and hope you have a great day:)

I love you both greatly and am thankfullfor all that you do!

So this last week has been super great. Something funny happened this week. We were in Ward Council Meeting talking about how one of the investigadores of the Sister missionaries is addicted to alcohol and one of the counselors if the Relief Society starter to talk about how she has an addiction with chewing gum. The funniest part was she was serious. My comp and I were cracking up as she talked about her gum chewing addiction with relation to the investigador who is drinking to much. You got to love those types of experieneces jaja.

Elder Agee and I are teaching a kid named Lucas that is a beast. He is 14 and is really mature for his age. We have taught him for about three weeks now. After the first week he told us that he had been praying and felt something inside of him that he had never felt before. We asked him if he had thought about our invitation to be baptized and he said that he has already desided that he want to be baptized and know that Joseph Smith is a prophet. He is such a stud! So now two weeks later he still want to be baptized, came to church sunday, and want to serve a mission when he get older. He is a very special kid.

Just so that you all know things are going good here. Im loving everyday. I love the spirit that I can feel talking to the people about the gospel. I dont know if you all saw HE IS THE GIFT on youtube but we are talking about it night and day in the mission. There are a lot of people that dont know that Jesus Christ suffered so that we dont have to and I am so greatful that I can help know this. I know that Jesus Christ lives and that this is his church. I am so greatful for the Atonement of Jesus Christ.

May we all be instruments in the hands of the Lord, in bringing others unto Him this Christmas.

Have a great week!

Dear Presidente,
The zone is on fire! this past week as a zone we had 15 in the Reunion Sac. How awesome is that! These missionaries are on top of things. Im excited the Hna Reid and Guzman have the opportunity to train. They are both hard workers. Im so excited to see what happens in the zone this transfer and the mission. Elder Agee and I are really pumped to have Elder Gomez and Elder De La Serna as our district leaders. They both are working great and helping their districts rise to greatness. Hurrah por Sion! My are is doing great. Elder Agee and I are seeing so many miracles with the Dadiva. Just about everyone believes in Christmas so its a great conversation starter. We have one in Investigador named Lucas. Lucas is 14 and is a stud. He has been praying, reading the scriptures/folletos, and watching mensajes mormones. He told us that after his prayers he has felt different, but in a good way. He has told us that he wants to be a missionary one day. VAMOS! This past week he came to church and had a good time. At the end we gave him a blessing of salud because he has had problemas with his leg since birth and he didnt feel very well. His blessing brings the spirit just thinking about it. After the blessing he said he felt better and just gave us a hug before he left. Lucas is an example that Heavenly Father is preparing many people. Elder Agee and I are doing great. He ́s a stud and doing great things! We are finding a good rythum and its fun. Im thankful that he is my companion and is helping me in so many ways. As for me, Im doing great. The spirit I feel for being a missionary is incredible. The other day a lot of our citas fell and we were thinking of what to do. As we were thinking, I felt drowzing and not focused, so we went and contacted some people to ̈heat up the spirit ̈(invite the spirit). As we talked with the people and knocked doors I could feel a special feeling that only comes by the spirit. And we ended up finding a new investigador. I love the mission so much because the spirit that can be felt is so great. I hope that every missionary in my zone and the mission can enjoy their missions to the max. Thank you for everything you do. You are in our prayers and thoughts.

Hey there :)

Dear Family,

I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It what helps me every day and I love it.

This past week we had transfers. Im still with Elder Agee. He is going to end the mission this transfer but he is a great example of the enduring to the end and finishing strong. Hes a stud! We are going to do great things together this transfer.

This past week we had a conference with Pres. Lovell and he presented something that the church is doing. Its called ¨He is the gift¨. Its a video about the importance of Jesus Christ during the time of Christmas. You can look for the video on Youtube or at Christmas.Mormon.org. Everytime I see it, I feel the spirit. It is powerful. Jesus Christ is wonderful. He is the Prince of Peace. Before the mission I wanted to be like Maurice Jones Drew and other great football players and play football great. I still love football and I still want to play it but one thing that has changed in the mission is I want to be like Jesus Christ. I want to be a good man like the Prophets and Apostles. I want to always be a worthy priesthood holder. I want to be a good home teacher, father, brother, son etc. I want to be a good football player but I want the gospel and my family at the center of my life. I remember a quote from Bronco Mendenhall (i think he said it) that says ¨if we cannot have football AND the gospel, then there is no point of having football.¨

The gospel of Jesus Christ should be our foundation (Hel 5:12). Without it there is no promise that the foundation that we set ourselves upon will last until tomorrow. I dont know if that makes sense jaja.

I am thankful to be where Im at today in my life. I am thankful for Jesus Christ and ¨I stand all amazed at the love that He offers me¨.

Thank you for all of your prayers. Thank you for all of your love. Have a great week.

Dear Presidente,
Sorry if this seems a little rushed but I have been having problems with the computers in the ciber. But this week was great! I am so excited about La Dadiva! The zone is also really pumped about it. This month I know we are going to see some great things in the mision. In our area Elder Agee and I found 2 new inv and put fechas with them all by using the video of the dadiva. When we contacted the door, Elder Agee said that we wanted to share a video with them about Jesus Christ and they let us in and we had a powerful experience. We taught about who is God and Jesus Christ. We showed the video and testified of our Savior Jesus Christ. They both accepted fechas and when we left the house I wanted to leap for joy. Elder Agee and I are doing great. Everyday I am with him I learn something new. I firmly believe that he is helping me become into the man Heavenly Father wants me to be. I am greatful for him. As for me, I am doing great. I am learning a lot of great things. I am learning things that are changing my life. I am happy. Im not saying every day is easy in the mision but every day is great. A very good friend of mine once told me ̈happiness is a result of choice not circumstances ̈. Everything in life is a matter of choice. We have the choice to look though our ojos espirituales o no. I love what we can do with the power of the spirit. Thank you for everything. I love you and Hna Lovell a whole lot. Have a great week.

Dear Familia,

Things are going great down here in Argentina. Its still hot and that wont be chnaging anytime soon. There is a lot of wind that blows through this city but I dont mind because it cools me off while Im sweating bullets.

This past week one of our investigadores got baptized; Valentina!!! It was quite the day in preparation for her baptism. As we filled the baptismal font, the water went out so we had to look for another way. We almost called the fire department to come fill it up (my comp, elder agee, has had to do that before jaja) but luckily we found a fosit thing outside and hooked up a hose to it. All went well after that...well amost. We had to wait an extra 25 minutos because our ward mission leader showed up late and he had the baptismal clothes jaja. It was a good day jaja. But Valentina is a capa(beast, stud,etc.). She is 9 and one day is going to be a future misionary. I dont know how to explain it but she just cracks elder agee and I up everytime we pass by. Jaja oh the mission is just too darn great! :)

Elder Agee and I saw some amazing miracles this last week. So just so you know, getting investigadores, or anyone for that matter, to come to church down here can be a challenge. My comp and I prayed and fasted that we could see miracles in this aspect, as well as othe goals we have, and Heavenly Father poured out blessings. One miracle that we had was the we found a family Saturday morning, taught them and invited them to a talent show in the ward and they came. Then we invited them to church the next day and THEY CAME! There are miracles! Sometimes they happen at the last minute to test our faith but they exist.

So I think thanksgiving is this week. We dont celebrate that here in argentina but thats ok jaja. I hope you all enjoy this time to be together and think of the family. The family is the most important treasure that we have in this life and it is one of the only things we can take with us in the life after.

Have a great week. I love you all:)

Dear Presidente,
This last week was another great one! There were 2 bautismos en la zona. The hnas of Plaza B had there baptism with Jose and almost got the mission standard. They worked really hard but fell short on a couple numbers. But they there area will still be greatly blessed for their efforts. Elder Agee and I had the chance to do intercambios with Elder Hernandez and Elder Laguado. Elder Laguado and I had a great day. We worked hard and saw many miracles. Im very sad he is having a hard time because he has great potential and good in his heart. But besides what is happening in Aeropuerto B, the zone is doing very well. Next week we could see 3 baptisms in 3 areas. In our area we have seen so many miracles this last week it was incredible. We found a new family and they came to church this past week. It was literally such a great miracle. We found the family Saturday morning, they came to the ward talent show Saturday night, then came to church sunday morning, and we have a noche de hogar
planned for tonight. Its unbelievable. We have prayed a lot this last week and Heavenly Father really helped us. We would never had gotten the standard if it wasnt for his help. Elder Agee and I are doing great. We are excited for what we can do together. We are excited that Heavenly Father has blessed us with miracles and that we still got some more time to work together. Elder Agee is a great Elder and works hard; I love it! As for me, Im doing great. Im loving my days here in Plaza Huincul. I love that the Spirit is helping me reconocer the hands of the Lord more often in my life. I love the feeling that I get as I open up my scriptures and read. I love the light that is the gospel. I know this church is true and the Jesus Christ is at the head of it. I love my mission and hope everyone can feel the same way. Thank you for everything you do. Have a great week.

Weekly Letter - 18 Nov 2013

Dear Presidente Lovell,
This past week went pretty well. Not going to lie I felt like I lost focuse because of the transfers but we were able to complete some good things. Villa Ceferino is good. We are teaching a lot of people but the problem is that not all of them are excepting fechas to be baptized. I have faith that all these people can progress and be baptized but I think we need to have a talk with a few of them to state our purpose and where we see things going so that we can be on the same page. I think one of my fears is that we will let someone go in a moment when we
should have had more patience. It ́s like Elder Holland said, these our our brothers and sisters we are teaching. I dont want to give up on people when maybe all they need is a little more support. I dont know how to explain it but Im trying to learn how to have a perfect balance in things that I do...not going to lie, its hard. But, life was never ment to be easy. I have goals for the transfer to make myself better. I want to become more like Jesucristo. That is happiness, to be close to my Savior at all times and stand up for His Church. This week I want to invite Blanca and Angelica to be baptized. We have taught them for over a month and each at one point had fechas. To do this affectivley I need to prepare spiritually so they can feel the spirit. Elder Ashworth, Puente and I are doing good. Elder Ashworth leaves today which is sad but I think he ́ll do great things. I dont know what will happen with Elder Puente but if its the Lords will that he stays here, I know we will do some big things! D & C 6: 33-37. We dont need to fear to do great things in the gran mission Neuquen. Thank you so much for everything. Have a great week filled with miracles.

Good things

Dear Family,

This past week has just flown by! A couple weeks ago we had a little snow and rain storm but it is back to the heat. IT IS HOT! Manga corta!!!(short sleeve). I dont care if I look like a pen sellsman in the streets, its hot the short sleeve white button up shirts help a lot. My arms and face are looking nice and tan...its a shame those are the only parts of my body that are getting tan jaja. Missionary farmer tans are the best. But now what gets me pumped is the tan line i have on my neck that is from my collar line jaja. Half my neck is a nice mocha and the rest is white jaja.

My comp and I have been seeing some big miracles here in our area. This week one of our investigadores Valentina has her baptism. She is a beast! Today is her birthday and turned 9. She lays down the law with her parents to help them get up and go to church.

I am loving my mission so much. I love the gospel and the Book of Mormon. I know that Pres. Thomas S. Monson is a profet of God. I also know that my mission president, Presidente Lovell has been called by God to help me in my eternal progression here in argentina. All the leaders in the church are called by God, not by man. I know that if we follow their guidance and advice we will be able to see the Lords hands in our life. The Lord has  promised many great blessing to those that follow his council.

The other day I read a qoute that caught my eye and it reads, ¨Every trial and experience you have passed through is necessary for your salvacion¨ Brigham Young

How cool is that? Heavenly Father loves us and is preparing us to live with Him.

Have a great week. I love you all!

Dear Presidente,

This week was a great one. It looks as if a lot of companionships may have some baptisms this month. The hnas de Plaza C are going to be having a baptism with Jose and the following week, if all goes well, varios other companionships will also have one. Heavenly Father is blessing us here in Plaza. We are trying to baptize every month, activate families, and retenerlas en la iglesia. There is one companionship that is having some difficulties. We are going to call today but en el caso that you dont answer, Aeropuerto B is having some problems. From what Elder De la Serna has told us, Elder Laguado doesnt have the desire to go out and work. He likes to go to a receint converts house and just play soccer. Elder De la Serna said the members and obispo arent to happy and it is hard on Elder Hernandez because he wants to work and help the families that they are teaching. Sorry to put more things on your plate to think about.
The area of Elder Agee and I is doing great. We had some fechas fall this last week but we just got to keep our heads up and go forward. This last week we had a lot of help from the members visiting our investigadores or less active families. This Barrio is amazing! It is one of the best barrios I have seen in my mission and by far the largest. Elder Agee and I are doing good. He is teaching me how to look at the points of view of others so that we can help them progresar. He ́s a stud! As for me, Im doing good. I just want to get out in the streets and give a Book of Mormon to the world. The days are going by faster and my time is getting shorter. I know that this work is true. It is truly una obra maravillosa. I can understand why Juan and the 3 Nefitas had the desire to stay and continue preaching the gospel on the earth. I have faith in Heavenly Father and in His son Jesus Christ. I have faith in you and I know if you say something is possible, than it is possible and we can all do it. Thank you so much for everything you do. Have a great week.

Another great week

Dear Family,

This week was crazy. My comp and I had to go to Neuquen for a conference with the asistants and pres. lovell. then we had to give two conferences here in our zone bc this zone is really spread out. we have a group of missionaries that are three hours from where we live so we had to go up there. then on monday our whole zone had zone conference with pres lovell; that is why i am writing today.

so things in my area are going great. the members are amazing and just waiting for an invitation to come and help us. it is a fun place to be. i wouldnt mind staying here for 6 months!

right now we are helping activate a family that has a daughter named valentina. valentina is about to turn 9 and is getting ready to be baptized. she cracks me up because evry time we come over she is sleeping and wakes up with not a happy face jaja. but her family is great. they are working on getting there life in order so that valentina can get baptized.

something very important is the mission work with members. a missionary is ten times affective when he works with membres. im sure you all kknow that but just a little invitacion that would make a missionarys week would be if you walked right up to one of them and gave them reference that tthey could go visit.

every day is getting better here in the mission. one time a heard a qoute about marraige. it goes somehting like ¨in a matrimony the love for one another will continue to grow without end if they live the gospel and do what is right.¨ I think that is the some for the mission. if you go out and give it all you got and are obedient your love for it will just continue to grow. i am so grateful thta im here in argentina. The other daay i went on exchanges with an elder who has about 3 months in the mission. he asked me how after so much time in the mission i am still so excited and filled with energy for the mission. I had never really that i had a lot of energy jaja but i do love the mision. i just told him because i have goals, i feel the spirit, and i love the work. this is the greatest time in my life! im in the fourth qaurter and i got to make it count. its clutch time. lets go get some miracles. hurrah hurrah hurrah for israel!!!!

Have a great week.

Dear Presidente,
Oh wow this has been a jam packed week. The days went by fast. The consejo de liderazgo y conferencia de zone were great! It seems like every week there is a little more animo in the zone. The missionaries are working and there are some good investigadores progressing.
The elders of Cultral Co are all doing good but Im a little worried about the area of Elder Laguado and Elder Hernandez. It seems like Elder Laguado is a little desanimado en cuanto
a la obra misional. Since Ive gotten here it looks like he has gotten better but we need to do more intercambios with them and maybe do a Tsunami to jump start their area. All the missionaries in this zone are very good missionaries. The area of Elder Agee and I is doing great. We have an investigador named Valentina that is progressing and we are helping her family get active. It helps that her abuelo is in the stake high council here. We have been thinking about how we can help our members get even more excited to do the obra misional and the conferencia de zona gave us some good things to think over. Elder Agee and I are doing great. We are looking for the best way to help this ward and this zone. He is teaching me a lot about how to help even more the members fortalecer sus testimonios. As for me, every day is a great day. I wake up in the morning happy to be here in the mision. Im trying to receive revelation on the run and do the work the Lords way. I want to be more diligent with seguimiento to help excelerate the work and lograr metas. I have faith and hope for the future of my area, zone, and mision. I know the answers are just a prayer away and that is why I love the gospel. I know the church is true and I know that every companionship can baptize monthly. Thank you for everything you and Hna Lovell do. Have a great week.

Miracles

Dear Family,

All is well down here in the patagonia. Two weeks ago it was hotter than the sun and the last few days we have had snow and rain. I dont understand the weather but it keeps me on my toes thats for sure.

So like I said, the last couple days have been filled with rain and a little bit of snow. It had been a hard couple of days because we knocked doors just about all day and no one wanted to talk with us. So we spent just about the whole time saturday in the rain and cold. My comp and I just kept saying it was just a test of our faith and kept on working. Sunday we went to church and saw that not all of our investigadores came to church. So after church we went by the house of a family that has 3 kids that are getting ready to be baptized. We go over with the rain and cold still in the air only to find out that they dont want to be baptized anymore. When we left the house we passed by a park. I sat down on one of the benches and just said a little prayer. All I could think was it was a trail of faith and the only thing we could do is go back to work. So that is what we did. We started knocking doors and the first few doors it was the same old story. But then we talked with a nice kid who got our spirits up. Than we knocked a door and started to talk with a man. I started to talk but then my mind went blank for a second and I stopped talking and so did my comp. Then out of no where the man says ¨what are you doing our there? come on in!¨. It was a miracle! We go into the house and teach a family of 3 and I couldnt help fill my heart swell up with gratitude for Heavenly Father. After we set a return appointement we went back to work looking for people. The rain wasnt coming down as hard and it was more misty, which got my pumped because I thought of Seattle:). So we go on our way and talk with some more people that are more or less excited to talk with us then we knock a door and get invited to come into another house. In the house we taught another family of 3! After that house we knocked a door and entered another house and found a nice guy who wants to come to church.

It was all a trial of faith. At first we couldnt see any miracles but we just kept going. At the very end of sunday is when we saw the blessings. We lost a family of 3 but for have kept going He blessed us with 2 families of 3. The gospel is so true and I love it so much! I love being a missionary. I am learning so much. This year and a half has been the greatest time in my life. Just like in life we should not just go through the motions to pass by but rather look for the joy and get everything we can out of every day. This church is true and the mission changes lives.

Have a great week!

Weekly Letter - 03 Nov 2014

Dear Presidente,
Ive waited about an hour for this page to open up so Im sorry if this letter seems rushed. This week in the zone we did really well with member presents. Just about every companionship one. The sisters in Rincon B had a baptism this last week and are planning to have another the coming week. I have no idea what they are doing up there but it is working. My area is doing great! We have had a lot of rain fall the last few days. The first couple of days we had a lot of bad luck with not finding many people to teach so we spent the most of the time in the rain. We got really wet but Elder Agee and I just kept saying that they were trials of faith and that we just needed to keep going. So that is what we did, we just kept going. For have kept going we so many great miracles Sunday night. The last 4 hours of sudnay night we entered 3 new houses and found 2 new families of 3. I can began to explain how greatful I am that Heavenly Father blessed us with this miracle. It was like Elder Agee and I had said before, all was but a trial of faith. Elder Agee and I are doing great. Im loving my time with him. I dont know what it is but he just gets me so darn pumped. Im excited for our time together! As for me, Im learning a lot and doing great. I love my Heavenly Father and this work. I read a quote the other day that goes something like this: ̈Dont give up on your dreams. If you give up on your dreams you will lose your hope. If you lose your hope, you will lose your purpose. ̈ We just have to help people dream big and then go after it. Thank you so much for all that you do.

Its HOT!

Dear Familia,

Just so that you all know, it is HOT down here jaja. Im in the desert so its like a dry Utah heat. Although I may be sweating buckets, I love it. Im getting tan, lossing water weight, and it is just fun to be outside talking to people. That is another one of the blessing of summer. There are more people in the streets to just go up to and start sharing the gospel with. Can anything get better than that?!!

My first week in this area has been filled with some great miracles. Heavenly Father really does love us so much. Elder Agee and I decided to fast this week so that we could have some extra help from the Lord. One of the miracles we had this week was that 3 investigadores came to church this last sunday. Before this week there had only been 1 who had come to church 1 time in the last 2 months. Elder Agee and I were stunned. Like I said Heavenly Father is blessing us so greatly. All we did was go out and teach and invite and Heavenly Father prepared the way. Heavenly Father is same yesterday, today, and forever. He is a God of miracles and always will be. According to our faith in life He will manifest great things.

I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. I know that Joseph Smith saw them both. I know that Joseph was a prophet and that through him Crists true church has been restored.

One quick thing that I was thinking is PATIENCE. We must always be patient. Pres. Uchtdorf once said that we cannot be like the farmer who plants his veggtables in the morning and returns in the night expecting to have a full garden ready to be plucked. All things in life as well as the gospel depend on our patience in life. The blessing we all have is that if we do good works and follow the gosple we will reap the blessings.

I love you all so greatly. Thank you for you faith.

Dear Presidente,
Plaza Huincal is on fire! Literally, it is getting hot outside. This past week was great. We have some great missionaries here. Our district lideres are working and uplifting their districts. Im still getting to know all of the missionaries but I think they all ae going to be able to change lives in the their areas. My area is amazing. This is the biggest ward that I have been in my whole mission. In sacrament meeting I looked out and there was just so many people. The members who I have met are very loving. The investigatores who I have met are on their way to happiness. And the people here are very nice. Like I mentioned before, it is hot outside, but it
is more incentive to get inside a house quick and teach. Elder Agee and I are doing great. He knows a lot of stuff and has a fire inside of him for the work. He want to do big things these last few months of the transfer which gets me excited. Im doing good. Im happy to be here in this area. I have a couple questions: 1. Can a write my conversos and their families? I dont know if I need to make a list of who they are and where they live so that you know. 2. Can a get on
the BYU website to handle some of my school stuff. I think that is all. Besides that, Im good. I love every day that I have here in the mission and know this is the true church. Thank you so much for all that you do.

no time

Hey we had transfers this last week and Im in a place called Plaza Huencal. I have new comp named elder Agee and he actually came here to argentina with me. He is pretty darn cool. I dont now him to much but Ive heard good things.

My camera has a virus so i cant send pics but this last week we had a miracle. One of our investigadores got baptized this last week. His name is Dani and he is 11. He is a stud. His mom hs been less active but he has come to churched and done so much to learn about the gospel. His mom came to church this last week for the first time in about 10 or more years. It was a miracle. she was so happy. Elder Merrell and I had been teaching her for a long time now and she has taught us a lot of patience jaja but we love her and Ill never forget the look in her eyes after she came to church. it was if she was a different person. Miracles are real. We just have to be patient and love those around us. Let us be firm in our faith and let out light so shine so that all may see.

Have a great week. Thank you so much for your prayers!

Dear Presidente,
This last transfer was a blur. It went by so fast but it was so great! The zone 5 saltos has done some great things. The missionaries are great and will keep on going with faith. I am excited to see what plaza huencal is like. It looks a lot like Zapala. Elder Agee is a great Elder and Im excited to see what we can do together. The Lord always has a plan to succeed. Elder Merrell taught me so much in 2 transfers and Im so greatful for his help. We were able to get the standard this last week but it would have not ever been possible if it wasnt for the help of Hna Sola, Bledsoe, Hafen, and Crowley. The are might missionaries. I dont know my area yet but as for 5 saltos, it is on the rise. Great things are happening and I am so thankful that I got to be apart of it. The gospel changes lives! Is this messege we share great or what! As for me, Im great. I have those transfer jitters but its all good. Its like stepping out on the football field on a friday night. Im excited to know this zone and the missionaries. We can make Sion here as we work with faith and the spirit. I am greatful for the guide of the spirit and have faith he will show us the way. Thank you so much for all that you do. Hurrah por Israel!

Another great week

Dear family,

This was just another great week. I guess every week is a good one while on the mission but this one got me pumped up! Tamara, one of our investigadores, was baptized this past week. The water was colder than ice because the heater was broken but it was still amazing! Tamara is so excited because she has waited a few years now to be able to be baptized.

Last night we had a lesson with tamara and her family. Her step dad is planning to be baptized in the next month the only thing is that he and tamaras mom have to get married first. But they are excited. But in the lession  last night, the mom shared with us that these past few weeks have been a blessing. She said that she cant believe that she has come back to the church and that her family is where they are. We talked about how God has a plan for all of us. We shared the story about how we found her and her family and it brought tears to her eyes to know that Heavenly Father loves her.

I dont know if I ever said how we found them but the Bishop said we should pass by and visit them. We passed by about 4 times but they were never home. One night we were on our way home with about 10 mins to spare and they came to our mind. So we passed by really fast and it was a miracle...we found them! And that is how it all started. It seems so simple but it is truely a mircle that Heavenly Father brought them to our mind in the  precise moment when we needed to pass by. Miracles!!!!

Something from General Conference that really impacted me and I dont know if I said it last week but was this; Many of the Apostles said that they do not know exactly what we need personally but Heavenly Father does. I loved that because in life we want answers and when we want anwsers we go looking for them. The most beatiful blessing that we have as sons and daughters of our Father in Heaven is that He has all of the answers. We can take our questions or problems to Him.

I am so greatful to know that I can know God and Jesus Christ here on earth...we all can! What a maravelous concept. We do not have to wait until after we die to know God and Jesus Christ.

Thank you so much for all your prayers, faith, and diligence. Go with faith with the MIRA PUESTA UNICAMENTE EN LA GLORIA DE DIOS!

Love you all

Weekly Letter - 13 Oct 2014

Dear Presidente,
This week was a great one! The Zone is doing some great things. This past week we put a
goal for the zone to enter two new casas por dia. The missionaries did great with that goal and as a result we had 46 new investigadores in the zone. The elders and Hermanas are working hard and were confident in them and in our district lideres. Elder Marx and Jubitz are pumped and bringing that to their districts. We just have to use our time well as a zone and go with faith. Saturday our investigadora, Tamara, was baptized. It was great! Her family came and they were all very happy. This family is a miracle family. The parents are working on getting married now so that the dad can get baptized. We have seen great miracles and they have all come from the ayuda of the members here. Elder Merrell and I are doing great! One of the greatest companions that I have ever had. I would not mind at all to spent another 1 to 4 transfers with him jaja. He has helped me to become a much better missionary. As for me, Im doing great! We are in week 6 and I am pumped to get out and work. This is one of my favorite areas! I am happy to be a missionary. I am excited to help people feel the power of the restauration.
Thank you so much for everything you do. Have a great week. Lets go get change Argentina!

The joy of the Gospel

Dear family,

things are going good here in argentina. i literally love every second of being a missionary. Sometimes it comes to my mind that one day i wont be able to do all these things anymore and i get a little sad but it also helps me get focused up and get to work. there is no time to waste!

So for starters, this last general conference was great! every talk was great! Those men and women spoke with the spirit and what they said is true. Every little detail is true.

Elder Merrell and I had a good lesson with a part member family this last week. The wife is a member but the husband is not. The wife has been less active for awhile but has started to come back to church. We have talked many times with the husband and he is reading the book of mormon and asking good questions. But this last week we had the chance to talk with him about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon even more. We got down to the point where he believes that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. At the end of this lesson i looked over and saw his wife and she was in tears because moments before, she had just heard her husband accept the invitation to be baptized. As we left her house she shook our hands and with tears still in her eyes, just said ¨Thank you¨.

I know this is the church of Jesus Christ here on the earth. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and that the Book of Mormon testifies of Christ. I am thankful for the happiness that this gospel brings to my own life and the impact in can have on others. I may not know everything there is to be known on this earth but of these things I am certain.

I am a representative of Jesus Christ and I know that He lives. I have never seen Him but I do not need to.

Have a great week.

Dear Presidente,
Was this General Conference great or what! I am grateful for the first Presidency and the 12 Apostles. I know all of them have been called of God and that this Church is the true church. Revelation is real and the power of the Father as well. Despite the obstacles in the zone with all the conferencias and capacitaciones, it wasnt too bad. We all have room for improvement but our district leaders are pretty excited to get down to work this next week. Im pumped because their pumped! Also, we had Pres. Tapia talk in the capacitacion and I think its same to safe that it was great. He a has a great love for the work. Our area here in 5 saltos is doing great. We are chugging forward with the faith to lograr our goals. These last two weeks are going to be very exciting. We had the chance to teach a lesson with a part member family this week. The daughter is going to be baptized in a week. The mom is a less active member who is reactivating herself and her husband is not a member. This past week we taught him with Pres. Tapia and had a very powerful lesson. At the end of the lesson the wife had tears in her eyes as she heard her husband accept a fecha bautismal. As we were leaving she shook our hands with tears still in her eyes and said ̈thank you ̈. This is the plan of happiness and I know it. The gospel is so true and I love it. Elder Merrell and I are doing greater than the word great. He ́s a great Elder. As for me, Im happy as can be to know that this is the work of salvation. I am enjoying every day and learing step by step. Thank you for everything. Have a great week.

Another great week

Dear family,
so great things are happening in my area and in my mision. Elder Merrell and I have been working hard to double our faith and we have seen some great miracles.
We are teaching a family that is less active with kids that arent members. There is Brenda and Daniel and their mom who hasnt come to church in a lot of years but is very nice. I love this family because the mom has taught me a lot about patience. she is very sweet but has trouble making excuses but she has progressed a lot. Its been about 4 months that ive been visitng this family and its just in the last few weeks that this sister had come leaps and bounds. When i first started to pass by this family it was hard to not get frustrated and lose faith in them but Ive seen miracles. Yesterday we passed by with a member to take the kids, brenda and daniel, to church and when we showed up they were all dressed and ready to go. there mom had gotten them up and helped them get out the door which was great. I dont know the mom, Roxana, will come to church but she says shes really close. I believe her, I think its just a matter of time that she comes.
We all have great potental as sons and daughters of our Heavenl father we just got to be a little patient sometimes with others and with ourselves jaja.
Here are some pics
Love you all. Enjoy the General Conference! Take some notes jaja
