Weekly Letter - 03 Mar 2014

Dear Presidente Lovell,
Dina Huapi is on the up and up. This week had the help of one the members named Hno Gonzalez. It was a blessing because he took the collectivo to come here and help us a little. Something that I found out was that a less active hna in our area hasnt been to church in 10 years and came to church not this passed sunday but one more before. I got so pumped when I heard that! Right now we are teaching the family Mardones that is a part member less active family. the parents have been less active for about 18 years and are attending the iglesia evengelica. i dont remember if I mentioned them. They are a great family and every time we pass by, the kids of the family are showing more and more interest. One of the daughters said, concerning Joseph Smith, that if this is really true the whole world needs to know. Hopefully the spirit can soften the hearts of the family more so that they can except everything. Elder Laguado and I are doing good. Last night we put our metas for April and seeing some of our goals really got me excited. I wanted to get out of the house and get to work. I know that miracles are coming here! The district is doing well. The hnas of Alto 1 had a great week as far as numbers and miracles. Centro is doing good and Centro C is working hard and finding people. Something that really caught me by surprised was the hnas from centro c. When they first put their metas their anitial goal was 2 fechas for all of abril. I was a little stunned by that. I told them that I had faith that miracles are coming for them and that than can get more. So they decided to put 4 instead of 2. One of the things Hna Lopez told me was thank you for having faith in us. That really hit me in my heart. I learned something from that....everyone needs to at least have one person that has faith in them. Its like a high school football team that always loses; they always lose because thats what is expected from them and thats what their used to. Vice versa with a team that always wins; they win because that is what is expected and what their used to. A coach that expects greatness from his players receives greatness from his players. A coach that has faith in his players sees miracles. I dont know if any of that made sense but in my head it did. I ́m learning more how to serve my district better. I truely am greatful to be here in Dina Huapi. Thank you for everything. Have a great week.
