World Cup

Ayyy familia,

so the US made it to the next round of the world cup....sweetness!!! this week was pretty darn awesome. I had the chance to go on divisions with another elder (it when my comp and i split up with another companioship to see how things are going). The elder i was with and I put a goal to ask and receive 5 references in like 3 hours because we didnt have a lot of time to work. A reference is when we ask someone if they know someone that we can visit and then they give us the name and address of the person. So went to work and got like 4 references but towards the end we learned that 3 are people that dont live in the area of the elder so we really only had 1. We only had about 10 min left but that is just enough time to see a miracle.

We stopped at a street corner and said a quick prayer that we could receive 4 references in 10 min. After the prayer we knocked three doors in 10 mins and RECEIVED 4 REFERENCES!!! it was so awesome! it was a great chance to strengthen our faith in the power of prayer!

I love you all so much and hope all is well. Im doing great down here in argentina and trying to make every day count. I am so greatful to be a reprisentative of Jesus Christ and I know this gospel is true. The power of prayer is real. We dont always have to wait for miracles to happen....we can also look for miracles! :)

Weekly Letter - 30 Jun 2014

Dear Presidente,
This week just flew right on by. The days here go by pretty darn fast! The zone is doing awesome. This week the zone was able to put about 12 new fechas. Talk about some miracles magic. Everyone is pumped and ready to work in the Lords vineyard. Oh how great this work is. Here in our area we have seen some great blessings with less actives this week. Just about all of them received us and let us share a message with them. Elder Gomez and I are doing awesome as well! We both are pumped to help the zone look for some miracles. He is a great example of animando the companionships in the zone. As for me, Im so excited to b a missionary its crazy. I dont have much time let and Im trying to make everyday count. I only have about 9 months left and then after I want be able to knock doors, wear my placa, or invite people to come unto Christ as a missionary of the Nueqeun Argentina mission....how sad is that? These really are the best two years! I love the spirit that I can feel as a missionary and that Im reminded daily that this is the true church. I also love that Heavenly Father is helping have a strong personal relationship with Him. Im pumped about the mission, Im pumped about the gospel, and Im pumped to see the miracles in this mission. There are no limits with God...we just need to ask with faith! Thank you so much for everythings. Have a great week. Nos vemos Miercoles!

Mundial locura che

Hey family,

QUICK SHOUT OUT TO GRANDPA PAUL! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I LOVE YOU :)

so down here things are heating up because the world cup is going on. the subject MUNDIAL LOCURA CHE means world cup madness bro :) just so that yall know. when argentina plays everyone goes nuts. its the topic of conversation all day everyday with the people. argentina is playing good and just so yall know, the USA is playing pretty darn good as well....oh, and Mexico is kickin butt.

So its safe to say that I love my new area. After being in a little town less than half the size of quincy Wa with only 5 members of the church, this place is the paradise! Not only that but the people are really receptive. Im excited to see the miracles that are on there way. Its great to see more members of the church and talk with them. I love the members!

Nothing too crazy has happened this week. Oh wait, in the middle of the week a factory of apples by are house caught fire and my comp and i went and helped out. it was crazy. we were trying to save as many apples and products we could from the building. Dont worry, all was well....besides the fact the the people last a lot of apples and part of their building. Ay but the good news is that a member told us that they saw us on TV. How cool is that?...I made it on latin television jaja.

So I know I talk a lot about this but I love the book of mormon like crazy. this morning i was reading and it just got me pumped up!

Oh and so I think yall will think this is pretty funny.... Yalll remember that when I was district leader, I had a district of only sister misionaries. Well the zone im in now doesnt have only sister misionaries.....but more than half of the misionaries are sister misionaries jaja. I think its because Im a mamas boy. LOVE YOU MOM:) but its awesome because sister missionaries work hard and can lay down the hammer with love better than the elders jaja.

just so yall know, im doing great! i love my mision! im loving every second. our lives are like a book and everyday is another story and another page in our book. the good and great things as well as the hard and difficults things only make our stroies even better. no one wants to read a book about a person who had everything easy and received everything they ever wanted. We are all writing our books so dont get down if things are hard because its only another great story for later:)

I love you all so much and hope you have a great week. I you need help Heavenly Father is one prayer away;)

Dear Presidente,
ITS GAME TIME!!!! Im pumped up! I just had the chance to read about Nefi in Helaman 10. That man is a capo! The people didnt make things easy for him but he had faith and kept on teaching. Ive been thinking a lot about repentance and how repentance is like an invitation to the Holy Spirit to come be with us. I have a great desire to feel the spirit and more than anything I want those around me to be able to feel his presence aswell. I want this zone to have great spirit experiences and perseverar hasta el fin. This zone really is so great! From what Ive seen from Catriel, the are doing big things and are seeing miracles. Centanario is doing good things and I know they are going to see even more blessings. Im excited to see where this zone can go. This area that Im in is literally so great. Im getting pumped just thinking about it. WE ARE GOING TO SEE MIRACLES HERE!!!! The families we are
teaching are willing to listen and are very kind. Elder Gomez is a stud and reminds me of my trainer from the US which is awesome. Im learning a lot from him and I really believe that this is going to be one of the greatest traslados! As for me, Im excited, up pumped, and Im ready to see some miracles. I love my zone and I want them to feel the power of the spirit in there lives. I know this church is true and I know the book of mormon is from God. Thank you so much for everything you and Hna Lovell do. Have a great week!

hey

Hey yall,

so i made it to my new area. it is nothing like my last area. there are no mountains, snow, lakes, rivers, GREEN....haha but its all good. My new companion is Elder Gomez...hes from mexico...VIVA MEXICO! finally i can learn the way to cook some mexican food. so it was super hard to leave my last area. i fell in love with the members and the people. one of the hardest things about the mission is to meet new people and become so close with them and then one day have to leave and not have the chance to talk with them until after the mision. im also going to miss all of the missionaries that were in my district. in my new area im a zone leader and i feel strange. today my comp and i went to a district meeting and i listened to the district leader talk and all i thought to myself how much i missed being a district leader and helping the missionaries up in bariloche. now im here as a zone leader and have to get into the swing of things. but its good. when things are always the same in life we tend to not look for the help of Heavenly Father because we are accostomed to do what we need to do. when things change or get harder we are forced to look for the help of Heavenly Father. so in reality, when there is change in life its just another chance to become closer to our Father in Heaven. He can help know what I need to do and when i need to do it.

As i start this new journey I have the chance to look for the help of Heavenly Father and feel the spirit guide me. the thing ive been thinking a lot about lately is the power of the holy spirit. it is the key to success in the mission but it is also the key to success in life. no one is mad, sad, envious, or stressed when the spirit is present. It is a little taste of what our lives can be like after this life; to always have the power of the spirit in our lives. the goal is to learn and find more ways to invite the Holy Spirit into our lives. He wants to be with us and help us but sometimes we just need to give him an invitation.

Im so gratefull for my family and that there is a plan to return to our Heavenly Father after this life. I believe in miracles and trust in Gods plan for me. I am so gratefull for the Holy Spirit and the peace he brings.

Have a great week!!!

Dear Presidente,
Ive made it here to Cinco saltos in one piece. Im excited for this transfer and the work here. I know I say this every transfer but Im going to miss my district and the people in Bariloche. They were all so great! Every one of them taught me so many great things and I hope all goes well for them this transfer. Its like it was said by one of the Apostles in General Conference that we are eternal beings that dont like things to end; we want things to continue forever. Im glad to know that it wont be the last time to see all of them. This whole being a zone leader thing is going to be new...hopefully all goes well. I dont know this area, Cinco Saltos but things look great. Im excited to work with the members here. Ive heard great things about the people and members. Im exctited to learn a lot from my new companion, Elder Gomez. Im just pumped to the max! Everyday is a new day to find new miracles and feel the spirit. Ive been thinking a lot lately about the Holy Spirit and the help we can receive from Him to do this work. Ive learned that the key to everything is the Holy Spirit. With his help we can be better tools in the hands of our Heavenly Father. I love this gospel and know that through the Holy Spirit we can find
peace, animo, and all that we need to keep the work moving. Im so thankful for the expiacion. I dont think Ill ever truly understand the love that our Savior has for us. Thank you so much for everything. Have a great week.

Weekly Letter - 09 Jun 2014

Dear Presidente,
This week was the week of the Capilla Abierta and it was awesome! We were able to see a lot of people come. All of the companionships are doing good. Centro had a good week with member presents and Centro C put a new fecha with a lady named Lila; they are super excited about the fecha. Alto 1 is working hard and found a bunch of new people this week. Its hard to believe that this transfer is coming to an end. Time flies when youre having fun. Dina Huapi is great. At the Capilla Abierta we had 3 less active members come from Dina. They were Marcelo Escudero, Isabel Perrotta (the less active who came to the church for the first time in 30 years a week ago), and Alejandra Cañumil. We are teaching more lessions in the week which is great because its a great way to feel the spirit. Elder Carlotta and I are doing good. He has the area down pretty well. We get along with one another really well which is great. He is very humble. As for me, Im so pumped I want to drop down and do some push ups. I love the Holy Spirit so much. I love this gospel. When at the capilla abierta I had the chance to present the pila bautismal. It was a great experience because the spirit was present as we testified of baptism. I know there is power in testimonies from members and misionaries. Its like an invition for the spirit to come. I have learned so many things this transfer that Im so thankful that Im learning. There isnt enough time to share everything but I know that this is the true church of our Father in Heaven. I know that the spirit is with us in this work. And I know that the Book of Mormon is true and is our map to exito (Alma 37:9). Thank you so much for everything you do. Have a great week.

Miracles

Dear Family,

I hope this week was SWEEET XD because my week was! Lets start off this letter with a miracles that is awesome. So my come and I found a lady who is less active in the church for about 30 years now. We have only taught her 3 times but this week, our third lesson, she said that she has decided to come to the church. My comp and I were like OH MY GEE GOLLY WILLIKERS! and yall know what.....she came to church! it was the first time in 30 years! Not only that, theres more. WHile in church she volunteered to help with an activity that the church is having...its like an open house. Elder Carlotta and I just smiled like Napolean Dynamite and gave each other a little fist bump of glory. Man I love this work.

2nd: We are teaching a family that is great. We had a lesson this week that was so great. The spirit was so strong and that we could feel it and see it in their faces. We testified that this was the true church. The family is still thinking about what they should do but I love this story because I love the Spirit. I know that the Spirit can guide and help all of us when we need help.

Im doing great. Im loving my mission and every twist or turn that comes along the way. I am so greatful for the scriptures and I love to read the book of mormon. The phrase ¨feast upon the words of Chirst¨ has so much more meaning for me in my life now. There are so many great things that are found in the scriptures. One of the things that I have learned and I love is about patience. We can have all the faith in the world that Heavenly Father is going to bless us with what we need or what we want BUT it doesnt mean its going to come exaclty when we want it. Sometimes we have to have patience. It doesnt mean we should lose our faith, it only means that we except the time frame of our Heavenly Father. He knows best right?

I love you all so much. There are great things happening in all of our lives. There are miracles daily. Have a great week!

Love

Weekly Letter - 02 Jun 2014

Dear President Lovell,
This week was a good one! The zone conference was awesome and Elder Carlotta saw so many great miracles this week. The district is doing good. The hnas of Centro C are working hard and they have been stressed lately but they are thinking outside the box more. Alto 1 and the Centro A are working hard as well. In Dina Huapi we had so many miracles this week. First, we had the chance to visit the less active recent convert Marcelo. In lesson we felt promted to teach more about el sacerdocio Mel. and focused a lot with blessings of consejo and consuelo. After the lesson we had the chance to give Marcelo a blessing. After the blessing he told us he felt so much better and that he knows with surety that Heavenly Father loves him. The church is so true! Later in the week we taught a less active Hna that has been less active for over 30 years. In the lession she told us that she had decided to come to church. This past sunday she really came with us. Not only that, while at church she volunteered to help with the capilla abierta that we are going to have this week. Elder Carlotta and I couldnt believe it. Nothing but miracles are happening here. Elder Carlotta and I are doing great. We have a vision of what we want to accomplish here in Dina. He ́s a stud! I love his faith and Im just pumped to see great things while we are together. Im doing great. I love this gospel and I know its true. Im learning so much in the way I can be a better teacher and love the people more. I know Heavenly Father has a plan for me and for all of us. Its like it says with just about every promise in the book of mormon, the blessing with come with patience. Thank you so much for the zone conference. I love the Holy Spirit! Have a great week.
